The negligence by this store's employees have just passed from incompetence, to being intentionally insulting. I have been trying to buy a $2000 ring for my fiance for the past week and a half but needed it to be in a different size (they only carry absurdly small rings). They said they could order the ring and would get back to me by Monday (5 days later) since they would be getting it at another store. On Monday I called in to see if it had arrived for my betrothed, and was repeatedly told that they had other customers ahead of me and that they would call me back shortly. Since this last Monday to Friday I have called each day only to have been transferred, told they would call me back, and quickly told they were to busy to me after I told them it was only a $2000 ring, only! Thinking it was just this store, I headed to another local Zales store only to be met with the same rude behavior! They had the ring that I was looking at, but they did not have it displayed since they were having some vendor special. I asked to see the ring to make sure it was the same one and the representative said it was in one of the cases under their vendor's rings. I asked if they could bring it out and said, "It under the cases so we won't. Sorry." After repeated attempts to understand why they couldn't open a door and pull out a single ring to make a $2000 sale, I gave up. Luckily I found out the jeweler that makes the ring is much more helpful, and perfectly willing to show and sell the ring to me. This customer service is unacceptable, rude, and intolerable. I am telling everyone I know about this Zales and will be making a formal complaint shortly.

Avoid this Zale’s location! All other locations I dealt with and their corporate were nice and helpful. I had to get a ring resized and the Simi location was the closest to me, and so I took my ring there. I went to pick it up a week later and there were obvious indentations in the gold and the solder line was ridiculously obvious. So it was sent back to the jeweler. After going through this a few times I finally got the ring back from the Simi location a month later. I had the ring on my hand for less than 48 hours when I realized a stone had fallen out. So I had the Simi store replace it with a brand new ring, and I took it to the Rowland Heights location-which had the ring back to me, in perfect condition, within two days. I will never trust the Simi location with any jewelry ever again.

The Simi Valley Zales location has VERY rude employees. They are more concerned with signing you up with a plan than helping you look and choose a ring. As soon as they learned we weren't planning on buying the same night, they took the ring from me and shooed us out. The manager also stated that my boyfriend wasn't serious about me if he wasn't willing to buy the same day. The whole point to engagement ring shopping is to browse around, try on a few different styles, go home and sleep on it and then make a decision. It's a lot of money we're talking about and a ring that we'll wear and see for the rest of our lives. I don't recommend this location. It's worth the drive to go somewhere else.
