My Movado watch stopped working. I went to Wentworth & Sloan for a battery. They wanted $35 to replace the battery, which seemed excessive. But, even with a new battery, it didn't work. Their watch repair specialist said someone had scratched the movement, probably changing a battery, and that it couldn't be repaired. They said a new movement would cost $350! I decided to try William Travis Jewelry. What a difference! Miguel, their very nice jewelry repair person, said it would be very unusual to scratch the movement just by popping off the back. They charge $15 for a watch battery. After hearing my story about Wentworth & Sloan, they sent my watch off to their outside watch specialist. A couple of weeks later, I discovered it was simply a loose wire, which they took care of for free. Total charge? $15! This is the second time I've been overcharged or gotten bad advice from Wentworth. William Travis Jewelry has a new customer.

Bought an engagement ring at this store and could not be happier. They took the time to show me a number of settings, and then special ordered the one I wanted before modifying it to look the way my fiancee had said she wanted it. They did a great job and charged less than some other stores had quoted.

Very reasonable pricing and exceptional workmanship. I dearly enjoyed working with Dylan who is young but very professional and caring.

Incredibly frustrating customer service experience trying to get a stone replaced in a ring. I had to call twice in three weeks to check on the job after never hearing from the store. On our final call, the manager mansplained to me that my description of events couldn’t possibly be correct because he would never make a mistake like that on an order — so what I was saying wasn’t true. I’m a really patient consumer. I know working in a retail business is difficult work — I’ve done it. There’s no excuse for treating a customer the way this store treated me. It would be entirely worth the drive to Raleigh to find a jewelry store that can manage quality craftsmanship and quality service. Heck, it would be worth a drive to New York City to avoid an experience like mine. Drive safely, friends!

I just recently took in a watch to adjust the band links. Staff was very professional, fast, and reasonably priced. I would recommend others consider this establishment.
