After my terrible experience with Zales, my best friend convinced me to give Jared a shot. I've never had a bad experience with Zales until we moved to the Odessa/Midland area. I am assuming bad customer service is just in this area. My husband decided that for our anniversary, he'll upgrade my ring. I decided that I'll do the design your own ring feature that Jared offer. My husband made a trip to Jared. The sales lady was very helpful, but unfortunately, the setting that I want will not fit the carat size. After almost 6 hours of looking for everything, we were done! They went to swipe his card and somehow their entire card machine shut down. They told him to come back in 2 hours or the next day to finish the transaction. Being that we live in Odessa, he decided to just come back home. We went on our bank account to make sure the transaction didn't go through like we were told. There were 4 transactions that was pending! Mind you, the pending charges were not small amounts. Being that it was the holiday, the pending charges lasted a week. We had to transfer money from our savings. A few days later, I received my ring and notice that one of the small diamond was missing and the prongs were scratched up. We took the ring back and was assisted by the Manager. I told him what all was wrong with the ring. He said he'll make it right. Almost a week later, I received my ring back. I was so excited until I saw that they took a chunk out of the prong. It's not holding up the diamond on one side. They messed my ring up so bad that they had to get me another setting. We sent it back again with pictures of what the ring should look like. To make the story short and after driving back and forth about 15 times, I didn't get my ring almost 2 months after my anniversary. They had to send it to Houston to have the master jeweler complete it. After the horrifying experience, my ring has a chunk scrapped out on the inside. I decided I'll just be done with it. Not satisfied after spending a good chunk of money on a ring that should have been perfect.
