I have had several transactions with John and have always found him to be an honest broker, which in this business is paramount. I inherited some gold jewelry that I did not want so went to John to see what they could be sold for. I left without selling the pieces because I wanted to consider it some more. My cousin convinced me to sell them through an upscale auction house in Boston. The pieces sold at auction for exactly what John said that he would pay me but I ended up receiving several hundred dollars less because the auction house charged a huge commission! Lesson learned.

Of all the jewelers, pawn shops, and coin stores that buy precious metals, diamonds, and coins in the Burlington area, I have found John to be the most pleasant and reasonable to work with in conversation and fairness of price he offers when buying or selling.

Went to Periwinkles, they offered 31$ for our gold. I said to my husband, lets go to Martins. It was very quick. They offered 98$ for the same scrap gold. Very Happy!. Bob & Ann.

I was very disappointed! After seeing all the good reviews and how fair he was on prices. I was very eager to come an check it out. I drove over an hour and half believing I was going to get well respected and great service. After waiting over 25 minutes to be seen. I showed him the two silver necklaces that I had. Without even examining them he threw them on a scale and offered me 45$. Told him when bought the appraisal for the menâ€™s necklace was around 800$ and the womanâ€™s 150$. He laughed said I can write an appraisal for 1200$ on the check if you want me to. How rude!!!!! He did not even give me the respect he gave the customer before me. At least with the man before me he checked out every piece of jewelery with a fine tooth colme. But when I came up it was like it didnâ€™t matter to even check...offered me scrap price and said Iâ€™m paying 50% more than anywhere else! SO NOT TRUE!!! Definitely will NEVER bring my business there and honestly would say the same to others!!

Good guys to go for advice and appraisal of coins. They ended up chatting for an hour with me and helping me organize what I had, providing baggies and advice. They are quite popular. When I was there, several other customers came in with questions or to chat and look. They also sell some nice collectibles.
