Made the mistake of getting my engagement ring completed here. The ring was custom, a gold ring I designed, made in Israel. The gem was hand-picked over the course of hours over days of searching for the perfect stone. Details: The stone that was set in the ring was scratched when they returned the completed project to me, the ring wasn't sized properly, and the prongs were not symmetrically placed. They apparently didn't notice the scratch, or didn't want to acknowledge it, and I had to examine it myself and point it out. They agreed to cover the cost of polishing the stone. But not until after I was made to look for a stone polisher to get a quote on my own time. After I tracked a stone polisher down by emailing several different jewellers, the polisher said he wouldn't be back until X date. So I emailed Rattan and told them he was currently out of town, but charged X amount of dollars for a polish. They said they found someone to do it. Great. So I go out of my way to drop the ring off, and a few days later, they call me. Apparently the polisher was out of town. Really... I already told you that. I go out of my way to pick it up again. Weeks pass, I wait a little while after the polisher is supposed to be back. I email them again, specifically asking them to arrange a time for the ring to be polished with the polisher. I say, quote: " If you could arrange a time that works with the polisher, once that is all figured out, let me know the date that would work and I'll come in during the week." They call and say that Tuesday works. I bring it back there again. What do you know, I get called a few days later and told that he actually can't polish it, that I can come pick it up, and they will just give me the cost of the polish in cash to find somewhere to do it myself. Overall, I went there to have a stone set and a ring sized. What I got was a scratched stone, a ring that is too big for my finger, and prongs that aren't symmetrical. I would be wary about bringing your valuables here. Note: The single star is for their kindness and the compensation for the polish they offered after the ordeal. I appreciate their kindness. Unfortunately it does not make up for all the errors and missteps that were taken throughout this stressful and drawn-out process.
