May 31, 2016
The item I ordered was received damaged. They offered a replacement and a refund. They have repeatedly ignored my messages for the refund promised. On 05/10/16 I placed an order with Sticky Jewelry (aka Thoughtful Impressions) for a custom dog tag for my brother for his graduation gift and military send off. I received the item in good time, however upon immediately opening the package, I noticed the dog tag was damaged with what seemed to be indentations from very hard downward strokes. I contacted the company and told them. They offered to send out a replacement and did so. Upon receiving the replacement item, I write them again, immediately after receiving the item, to let them know that - again - my item was damaged. They responded "What do you want us to do?" I told them I didn't know. I am not the business and this should not be my job to resolve customer service issues. They then suggested that I just attempt to buff it out. Then on 05/15/16 they stated: "I can offer you another 25% off the tag to make that discount total 50% off the tag and the engraving." I begrudgingly agreed, unfortunately, as I was under a time crunch and was counting on this gift. Unfortunately, I had to give a damaged gift. On 05/25 they responded: "Yes we have received the returned tag. I have requested that a refund be applied to your PayPal account in the amount of $15.47." The amount of $15.47 is not the 50% I was promised as the engraving and the tag themselves were $61.89, therefore the return would be $30.95! Fast forward and day after day the business has ignored four requests for update on the status of the refund. On top of this, the business conned me into closing my PayPal escalation promising that they would refund it once that was completed. Little did I know, once I closed it I could not reopen the case. I did not act as fast as I could have as I am not unreasonable and know there was a holiday on 05/30. The business finally wrote me back (IMMEDIATELY - funny how that works) after i told them I was filing a complaint. However... I find it puzzling that their excuse was that their billing department is closed today (not a holiday) due to the Holiday... yet they've posted updates on their Facebook page? I've since submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I never ever ever want to come to this action, but this company did not show the customer service that I deserved during this time.
