This was such a great and unique find in downtown Portland. I got a bunch of beautiful crystals for only 20 bucks. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. They had identification books to help you shop and highlighted some Oregon rocks and crystals which I really loved. A good spot for a gift or just to treat yourself.

I am obsessed with the jewelry at The Fossil Cartel! They've been around for over 25 years and always have the best selection of minerals, crystals, stones, rocks, meteorites, fossils, and of course jewelry. The employees are wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable about everything. You can purchase anything that's in the store online, too. I recommend this place to all my friends, including those out of town. I think their prices are really great and competitive for the quality. Check them out!

Cute, very clean and organized shop. The staff was kind of obnoxious (nonstop whispering and giggling, comments about wanting to close before closing, not knowing what specimens were) and not helpful whatsoever though. And it was extremely overpriced but it's downtown so to be expected.

The staff were very knowledgeable on a wide range of questions I had. Very patient and friendly while answering my questions. They have quality jewelry, stones and fossils by themselves, and books to buy and learn. They even have cards for other helpful resources that may work for you also.....and for jewelry that requires special care, they have instruction cards to help you remember or in case what you're buying is a gift. Awesome, even if only to look.

I love this store. Very friendly staff, beautiful crystals and jewelry, and good prices.
