I emailed Jamie at Baraka Gemstones and Jewelry in Ballard to arrange an appointment and he responded essentially immediately. I had been looking to meet with someone about some estate jewelry I had inherited and being relatively new to Seattle, I hadnâ€™t been able to source a referral. Itâ€™s important to feel you are dealing with a reputable company when your family jewelry is involved. Jamie was very courteous and made me feel comfortable with his level of knowledge, expertise and professionalism. He also cleaned some jewelry that was too tricky for me to clean on my own. He has some beautiful pieces and the company has a history of charitable giving, which I appreciate.

Jamie was professional but friendly and fair. I sold a bunch of my jewelry and it was emotional for me but Jamie made it an easy process. He took his time with me did not rush me and went over everything with me so I understood and had the choice to go forward with each piece or not. Highly recommend! He also had beautiful, unique reasonably priced items for sale.

I went to Baraka Gemstones and Jewelry in the hopes of getting two costume necklaces repaired. Jamie fixed one of the necklaces as I waited, and although he could not help me with the other necklace because it required replacement of a gold-filled chain and the store does not deal in costume jewelry, he informed me of some stores that might be able to help me. He graciously did not charge me for his services. Given the level of customer service, I certainly will think of Baraka when I have fine jewelry needs in the future.

Our trip to Baraka's was meant to be a short trip to begin checking out different sizes, cuts, and designs for an engagement ring. Shane and Jamie were wonderful. After just a short while viewing an assortment of beautiful pieces, we decided on one that was one-of-a-kind. We agreed the whole trip was simply meant to be after all. As the two of us keep planning our future, Baraka's will definitely continue to be part of it.
