John was very professional and personable. He gave a reasonable quote and stuck to it, and his time estimates were totally accurate. We have an open plan condo, so we knew there would probably be a certain amount of dust and mess, but it wasn't as bad as we expected. John seems to take pride in his work, and even came out to fix up a missed spot that was actually the result of another tradesperson moving an access panel. I would definitely recommend John to friends.

From the owner John Donnelly Low Cost Painters Dear Micheal, Thank you for taking the time to write this lengthy review, after 15 years in the business and 1000's of happy customers I'm obliged to reply to this review with what this job entailed and the overall outcome of the estimate and finished product. Let me start this review with I go above and beyond for my customers, thus given my 10 score on reviews prior to your experience. Your correct in saying you given a quote over the phone, however what you forgot to mention was, that I indicated to you it's something I never do, that I was uncomfortable with doing so. However in your persistence I gave you an estimated time for the baseboards and doors for your 600sf space. With that said you asked for an hourly rate vs the overall quote given, again something that I don't do given my 15 years in the business. My quotes are based per job, as there are many variables. It's unfortunate you feel the staff didn't work at a pace you felt was adequate, again reason to quote per job not hour. This ensures the job done in a timely manner vs what home owners estimate the hours should be. As always, my staff drop clothes the entire floor space and takes utmost precautions to ensure no damage be done. What you failed to mention during your review was the following: Your quote was given based on the following going from white to white. During our emails regarding your baseboards and doors, you forgot to mention that the baseboards were dark and you were wanting them white, this is very time consuming. The interior doors were white, in which you wanted black. Again very time consuming. You provided your own paint, which is fine if the products are suited for the job, again a problem I run into often and always after clients suggestions as to what to buy if their not looking to buy professional painting products. As to the damage you reference to, I'd be more then happy to attach pictures of the floor space in your condo to ensure no damage was done on my company's behalf. In closing I would like to take this time, to thank you for writing this review. As all businesses comes with a lesson to strive to do better and Improve to make customers happy. Lesson taken to never give quotes without viewing the property in person, this will ensure all parties are on the same page and no surprises for either of us :) Regards John Donnelly Owner Low Cost Painters

Thanks for the great job John. I just wanted to say how pleased we were with johns work. He showed up as promised and his prices were really fair. I chose a colour that didn't work with the space ( who knew there was such thing as too white?) and he gracially repainted for me and helped me chose something that would work a little better. Even though I 100 percent chose the wrong colour . I let him choose the base board colour ( cloud white from cloverdale) and I must say that I will probably never use a different paint for baseboards. Overall the quality of the products he uses, time it takes him and the quality he did was great. Our home is a character home and the walls look brand new.
