Western 1 is a subsidiary of McIntyre painting. If you want your invoice altered illegally, and to not get paid within the allotted timeframes as per the BC Labour laws, and then get cheque and have it be shorted without reason.... This is the company for you. They still owe me $679.12 that was taken off without my consent. Kind of makes me wonder how many other people they steal from.

Been an employee for this company for a decade now. They have high expectations for quality. Excellent employer!

If you want to go ahead with painters that do the worst job for top dollar, McIntyre Painting are perfect for you. Lack of proper management and expertise, sloppiness and laziness of painters and rudeness of the owner were just astonishing.

Very much regretting getting into business with such a sleazy company, they will deceive you into getting their philosophy of what half job undone is a finished product. The service is rude and unprofessional on all levels, Their workers do not come to work but rather hang around you to chat about everything with you and small talk to you to stray from a proper painting job. They use your ignorance to lead you believe that their cutting corners policy is the proper painting job. Later when you express your unsatisfactiton from poor job done, includes; 1. Not sanded surfaces stained and painted, 2.Applying only one or two coats of clear coat (to save money on product) 3. Not even painted surfaces. 4.Overspray on everything that supposed to be covered prior to painting ( improper schedule and organizing). They use bullying tactics of making them pay them anyways by registering a lien on your property. Avoiding any responsibility it is never their fault for job poorly done. They will use words like MPI, (master painting institution), they paint to that standard and if you don't like the job it is your problem. Long story short, you will end up fighting for your right to have a job properly done and it will outcome to the fact you will need to spend more later to correct their poor job and spending money with lawyers to remove liens from your property. Be very careful to make business with these bunch of crooks.
