HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY! Our experience with White Rock Painters has been a horrible one. In April we decided to paint our house - it is a large stucco home. We looked online at reviews of painting companies and got quotes from our top 3 choices. Although White Rock was not the cheapest we really liked Christian and felt like our home would be in good hands. Also, we had just moved here to Richmond from Toronto and were busy with new jobs/reno's, etc. so we didn't have time to babysit or supervise the job; we wanted to hire a company that we could trust to do a good job. We thought that company was White Rock Painters. The crew came to do the job in April and from the outset it seemed like things we going ok. They finished the job in 3-4 days. When I quickly walked around the house after the job was done I noticed several places that had been missed, places where the tape had not been removed, places that were spotty, and spots where the paint had bled. There were also really blotchy places where the paint was different colours. When Christian came he told us that this "wasn't his top team" that worked on our house. I almost fell over. What homeowner wants to hear that their house got his 2nd tier team working on it? He said that he would fix all the little mistakes and I asked him if he would go over the house with a fine-tooth comb and please make sure everything is done properly and all errors/mistakes corrected. He assured us he would, and we trusted him and paid him in full - this was a mistake. He came back and touched-up a few of the deficiencies. However, when we did a thorough inspection - which we honestly wanted to avoid having to do and thus hired what we though was a reputable company, we found paint splattered on windows, more trim missing paint, bleeding paint, uneven colour where the paint was either sprayed/rolled improperly. All in all, the house looks like a mess. It was a $9000 job and it looks awful. All the discolouration and blotchiness that we were told would fade and go away has not. It was been a disaster. We texted Christian and sent numerous photos and he advised that he would get his team to be in contact with us to come and fix the mistakes. That was in July. We never heard from anyone. We texted him again a few weeks ago and never got a reply. We are somewhat shocked by this as we told him when we met that we have several rental properties here that will need painting and that we need to get the interior of our home painted as well. We are very loyal to businesses who do good work and who treat us well. We would have be been repeat customers but now cannot recommend them. In fact we just hired another painting company to stain two large fences at our properties. My advice - hire another company that will not put you in the position we now find ourselves in. We hate looking at our house and everytime we pull into our driveway all we can see is our botched paintjob. It was a huge mistake hiring White Rock Painters.
