In my three visits over a one week period I have found each of the employees I dealt with helpful and well informed. The service has been fast each time, as well. Samples for most colours are pre-mixed and so can be picked up quickly.

We bought some paint for doors and trim and the quality of their cheapest brand was horrible! At almost $50 for 4L you would expect better quality. My contractor applied 2 coats to primed doors and it definitely needed two more. When we tried to exchange it/return it, they said it was fine and blamed us for using improper equipment, which we were not. Will definitely not be buying paint from here again.

We purchased about $1600 of stain for our house, over a period of several weeks. The final purchase was 14 gallons. An employee loaded the containers into my wife's vehicle. On returning home, 55 km away, she discovered that three gallons were not the correct product, so had to return these to the store. She received some sort of apology, but nothing more. Subsequent conversation with the store manager Kim Roberts) and the store owner ( Carrie Lynn) did not result in any offer of any credit for her mileage ( 110km round-trip) or lost time. The owner's rationale for the lack of credit was that this was not a "life-changing event". This is true, but beside the point. The store employee made the error. I was very surprised at the attitude of the manager and the owner, essentially accepting no responsibility for the error or inconvenience or cost to us. Eventually, the owner offered a "couple of brushes and rollers" for our next project - but totally unwilling to state a value for this offer. It is very unlikely there will be a " next project" with this particular retailer. I believe they have quality products, but customer service or retention is low on their priority list.
