Good quality, and reasonably priced art supplies, without having to go out of town. Knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Used the framing service, and thrilled with the finished product! I will be taking more pieces to be framed in the near future.

The staff at the Painted Tree are knowledgeable and friendly. When they are unable to answer a question, they do their best to point the customer in the right direction. Always a pleasant shopping experience. Such a lovely environment, and wonderful small business. Can't say enough about the owner, she goes above and beyond for the needs of the customer. All policies are clear and staff are respectful when dealing with returns or exchanges -- especially if the customer has lost a receipt (oops!!). I love shopping here and pop in daily to see Steve the very smiley in-store dog! LOVE the Painted Tree, definitely a favourite of the downtown Cobourg small businesses, will definitely recommend to all artists and aspiring artists!

The Painted Tree in Cobourg is one of the best art supplies stores I have found in the Kawartha Lakes and Northumberland county. Excellent service, very reasonable prices, good ranges of stock and a knowledgeable, creative staff. Not to mention parking right beside and in front of the door and only seconds away from the shining waters of lake Ontario and fabulous Cobourg beach. A destination shop for art supply lovers like me!! If you are lucky, you may meet Steve the shop dog whose smile is worth the trip.
