My first and last, experience with Southern Painting was pretty painful … contracted Southern to paint interior walls and ceilings and repair drywall in several areas of the house, the work was scheduled over several days, 70% of the work was done so poorly was forced to get them back out to fix the mistakes. A very frustrating experience with Dave MacMeeken, Southern Painting Regional Division Manager for Frisco, Prosper and Celina. Initial meeting for the estimate was good, however it was very difficult to get them to schedule a time to correct the poor work. Had to chase with numerous calls, texts and emails. After much effort finally got a date to redo the repairs and painting, however the day came and went, no one showed, no explanation why. Spent several more days trying to find out what happened (even sent an email to Mark Collins the founder and Steve MacMeeken the franchise owner for Collin County in an attempt to get someone to respond with a new date, not sure either received the email as neither responded). Finally, after weeks of trying, got a call from Southern with a new date. This time everyone showed, Southern sent the same crew back who originally created the problems, but this time with a supervisor, and the mistakes were corrected, however the work remains less professional than expected. The original poor work included: a dry wall ceiling patch that very much looked like a patch (cracked an hour after the crew left), water marks bled through (literally in hours despite being assured they would not), areas re-plastered were uneven, and the paint color match everywhere was noticeably off, despite communicating these issues to Southern the day they finished the original work it took several weeks of persistent follow up to get them corrected. Would never use Southern Painting again, nor would I ever recommend them to anyone.

This company was outstanding. They worked quickly, efficiently and were very respectful. They worked for hours into the night on a holiday! The painting and drywall work looks as good as new.

I just purchased my first home and was so excited about getting my walls and cabinets painted. I was referred to Southern Painting by a trusted friend and was assured that their standards are top notch and I would be well taken care of. The beginning of the process was great...I was promised by the foreman that they insure their work for a year and if I found any issues with the job that they would fix it. I was told that it would take 4 days to complete the job during the initial estimate. The job was completed in 2 days and you could definitely tell it was rushed. I took pictures below so you could see the paint drips and chips throughout my cabinets. My foreman also told me that it was safe to shut the cabinets and they were dry. You can see in the pictures that the paint was ripped off when I tried to reopen them. I am posting this because I have reached out to my foreman twice and reached out to the company twice and no one has returned my phone call. I would not recommend this painting company.

When looking to paint the interior of my house and after having 2 very Spanish contractors give an insane quote, Southern Painting was recommended by a friend. What an awesome experience. Lowest quote, and the prep work to make sure my wood floors and furniture were safe was only an indication of what was to come. The job was meticulously done with not one spot or area that needed retouching. Terrence Heaney and his crew out of the Carrollton office couldn’t have done a better job and now have a customer for life. I assure you, you won’t find a better crew for the price. Don’t think twice, go with these guys.

We had Southern Painting paint the outside of our house. Our initial experience was great with the salesman. He was knowledgeable about all the things we asked for and the pricing was straightforward and fair. From that point we had a horrible experience with the crew. There were paint issues, quality issues, etc all over the place and it took much longer than expected to complete the project. I can say that the owner of the company met with us figured out the issues and did his best to fix all the problems this new team had caused. We are very appreciative of the owner listening and recognizing he had a crew issue and rectifying the situation with us. In addition he went and addressed any issues with other houses this crew was working on.
