We recently had the exterior painted on our 1928 cottage. Peter came by for an estimate on time, gave us an example of a similar home, and recommended a color palette that was perfect for our style of home. His crew of did a really thorough job with the prep work, as well as minor repairs to our stucco and a window pane. The painting itself was done with attention to detail and looks great! Everything was accomplished in the time frame Peter estimated. We were really gratified with our decision to work with Peter Wilson & Co. He was also gave some great referrals for woodwork and gutters.

Do not hire. Buyer beware. Of all the dozens of tradesmen I’ve dealt with remodeling my home over the past 2 years, Peter Wilson was the most unprofessional. We agreed on a price and a schedule for an interior painting job. He didn’t stand by either. He didn’t come through as scheduled and then strung me along for weeks that turned into months. Then finally, when I pressed him for a commitment, he said he would only do the job for more money and on his own schedule. In the end, it was apparent that he was just using me, stringing me along as backup while he prioritized other jobs to his liking. If he didn’t want to do the job, fine, just tell me upfront. But instead he strung me along, wasted months of my time, then changed the terms and left me hanging. Extremely unprofessional. Follow-up Edit: The owner's response is a continuation of his unprofessionalism. And in this case, straight up lying. I asked for zero "special considerations". Peter made a proposal by email. I responded with a single request: if he'd be willing to do it for 10% less, as my other bids were actually 20-30% lower. He agreed, asking me if I could wait 4-5 weeks to finish up another job. I said no problem. The only "annoying" thing was for ME needing to patiently follow up with him every few weeks only to be strung along and told 'no, too busy, check in with me again in a few weeks'. Until finally, four months later, he said he changed his mind and didn't want to do it for the price he had agreed to. I would be happy to paste the entire email chain if Google gave me the room to do it.
