May 27, 2017
We had a party with this business planned for mother's day at 4pm. It was a surprise for our mothers, aunt and grandmother. We arrived around 2:30pm to the resteraunt chosen by Shanea. Upon arrival we were met by the boss of the resteraunt who demanded that we leave him money due to not being paid by Shanae. He claimed that she had been using the space for about 2 years, but never paid them anything. I explained to the guy that we did not have anything to do with that. So, around 3:45pm her assistant Arlayna and her daughter shows up. Upon their arrival she informs my whole family that she left all the supplies at home in Atlanta. She returns around 4:22 pm, at this time we had already ordered food (wasn't planned) to fill the time. She begins to set up while asking how many people were painting. We paid $242 for 7 people 6 of 1 painting and 1 of another. She set up the paintings only for me to discover that the different painting was not there and had not been prepared. We talk to Shanea about it and she agreed to refund $100. Arlayna offered to draw something in place of the different painting, however we had to go buy a pencil as she didn't have one.we buy the pencils, she draws something and offered another blank canvas for the other child to paint. So, Arlayna then begins to rush that we hurry so that she can begin the class..it's not even 5 o'clock at this point. My family, who the surprise was for are no longer interested in painting. I inform Arlayna of this and she claims that she understands. She ask if the kids can still paint on the 2 canvases. We agree. We speak with Shanea and request an additionally $80 due to the chaos and unorganization. Not to mention we didn't paint. We even took into consideration that $40 would be left for the 2 canvases the kids used. She refused. Her assistant, Arlayna offered to pay the $80 the following Friday and even texted me requesting that I send the square request. It gets odder...my sister catches Arlayna and her daughter taking pictures of me and 1 of my cousins while we were not looking. When asked about viewing the pictures she attempted to convince us that they were for advertisment on the website. However, there were 6 pictures of me and 1 other person and no pictures of the children sitting at the table with her painting. I stop my child's painting as now it is uncomfortable beyond reason. Arlayna leaves, I attempt to contact Shanae to talk about the Mother's day events only for her not to answer and then further more she blocked me on fb so that no reviews can be left. She then accused us of making her assistant cry, which we didn't. It took a week to get back the $100 and we never received the $80. It was a horrible experience and still has not been made right despite our request.
