Everyone in store knows paint inside and out. Very helpful. Great hometown store.

Oct 9, 2017
Let me start by saying I went to a certain Home Improvement store to buy paint. I explained to the gentleman behind the counter I wasn't sure what kind of paint I was looking for for the project I was doing. He asked me a couple of questions and then went back and grabbed a gallon of paint and said this is exactly what you need. I told him I needed white paint and he said it was already white and just needed to be shaken. So when I got home I opened the paint and it was colorless. He had sold me a gallon of deep base paint. When I tried to take it back the store refuse to take it because I had opened it. After that I went to Port Huron paint. I explained again what I needed for my paint the gentleman behind the counter ask me a few questions and I answered them because I still was not sure what kind of paint I needed. Not only did he show me what kind of paint I needed he explain to me why and how I should use it. It was slightly more than the chain store but for the experience I had it was worth it. I have gone back twice and both times everyone at the store is extremely helpful. I know nothing about paints or what types I'm supposed to use and they always make sure I'm leaving with the exact right product I need. Their paints are far superior to the chain store once also. I usually only have to use one coat. I would highly recommend this store.
