Quality work at a fair price.

Gerlach gave me a reasonable quote outlining what he intended to do and his crew completed the job in one day as promised. We were fortunate to have good weather but the roof was a complete tear-off with significant rotted wood needing replacement (I was able to inspect the replaced pieces) and his large crew was able to get the job done before sunset (about 8:30pm). We have had some extreme weather since and no issues. The queue was also not bad (less than a month) but long enough to indicate he is kept busy. I would (and have) recommend Gerlach if you want a good job, reasonably priced and done quickly.

Dishonest, unprofessional - Gerlach gave me a quote on my roof - he seemed knowledgeable, promised good quality components, told me his people would be doing the job, that they were insured. When the time came to get the work done, the people who came were not directly employed by Gerlach. I doubt they had insurance. They left the roof off my house and had to come back in the middle of the night to cover it with a tarp because it started raining - my porch was taking on water. The people who came had NO IDEA what I had been promised - they were playing a game of telephone with Gerlach, who had apparently contracted my job out.

Doug Gerlach subs out most of his Re-Roofs to a guy named Jeremy. I have personally seen him steal material for the job and sell it back to suppliers for cash. Almost every Re-Roof done by him this summer has no ice and water on the roof because that is the easiest for him to sell. If these guys did you roof or are going to do it and a guy named Jeremy shows up driving an old white Time Warner van with a latter rack and a yellow light on top don't let him do the job. I personally saw him get kicked off a job for drugs today.
