I had a through-the-wall A/C and it was ancient- still worked, but ancient. I purchased a new one, same size, as well as a sleeve, since the old one did not have one. I'm fairly handy, and could not get the old one out of the wall, it was not as easy as it looked in the YouTube videos. I reached out to home advisor and only received one response inquiring about my project, and never received a reply. I reached out to a handyman listed high on the results list on google, and received no response whatsoever via e-mail or phone. I was so incredibly frustrated- until the BBB had Total Restoration listed for a contractor search in the 44256 area. John M. answered the first time I called, came out very quickly to perform the estimate, and completed the job in a very timely manner. There were a couple unforeseen stumbling blocks when it came to installing the sleeve, and I expected him to say it would have to be done at a later date (which I would have been fine with), but he persevered and got the entire job done (including replacing the siding and j-channel just like the hole in the wall was already the size it needed to be) in one appointment. Such a weight was lifted off my shoulders, and I know every penny was worth it. It's no longer unbearable in the upstairs bedroom, and his professionalism is 5-star. I absolutely recommend, and would use him again for future projects.

We hired Total Restoration to paint the exterior of our house and are extremely disappointed and frustrated. On first impression, John seemed knowledgeable and organized. Our contact was signed in June. The project began in the beginning of September and after more than a month, only part of the trim was painted. The subcontractors rarely showed up and when they did, wasted half the day away with breaks. After several phone calls to both John and Tonya about the lack of progress, we were only left with excuses for the lack of work and progress. We have lost time and money on a major headache that we will now have to pay extra to have the job done correctly again in the spring. Please beware of this company. They are not as advertised.

I had a great experience with John Moore and Total Restoration and Painting. The company responds promptly to calls and is quick to schedule. I was very happy with the roof maintenance he performed and he offered some DIY suggestions for our deck to save us some money. In the future, when we have home improvement needs, I will definitely call Total Restoration.

Don't waste your time or money! Took half our money, did half the work, then never heard from them again. They caused more damage then they fixed. Details: Approved estimate 11/1/17. Exterior roof leak 1st attempted repair 4/10/18 led to multiple leaks from each skylight replaced, contractors used were less then impressive. 5/5/18 2nd attempt, notified by hired subcontractor that skylights were not only ordered too small for openings but were installed backwards. They did a much better job sealing all leaks. Currently 8/20/18 only communication was from this review. Had work completed by a more reputable company.
