We hired Steve to repaint the interior of our house and couldn't be happier with the results. Steve was very communicative and helped us pick out some great colors. We were away for the last few days of the project but had complete trust in him and his colleagues to leave them with access to the house. Steve also followed up with us a couple of weeks later to make sure we were satisfied and offered to come back for any touch ups if they were needed. A truly wonderful experience working with him.

I chose Macon Painting after much review and I am so glad I did! He helped me with paint color and I loved how he chose the right color for the tile in the condo. He knew the color we chose would bring out the color I wanted to highlight in the the tile. My condo looks amazing! Steve wants everything perfect, so he works until it pleases him. I would highly recommend Macon Painting.

I can't recommend Steve Macon and his team enough. Friendly, professional, quick, and top notch workmanship. They don't nickel and dime you on small stuff, either. I don't want anyone else working on walls for me. 10/10 would hire again.

Response to Steve's response; Yup Steve, I made it all up, including Rick's name, your crappy Sherwin Williams paint, and all the details. I have nothing better to do. Since I'm so negative on you, aren't you wondering why I said you did a great job the first time I had you out? Shouldn't I leave that out and just be ALL negative? I don't know if you've turned yourself around and you might feel it's unfair to have this review for something not too recent. But people need to know how you treated us. Based on the updates from Google, many people appreciate my review, and they can tell it's genuine. ------------------- Original review: We used Steve around 2003 and he did a great job. Then a few years ago, when it was time to repaint our house, we called Steve again. Boy, was there a big difference. He used subpar Sherwin Williams paint that didn't coat well. He kept blaming the texturing and the home builder. He used some amateurs as helpers. One guy named Rick was the worst. He was like Schleprock from the Flintstones, leaving disasters in his wake. The guy was painting the insides of the window areas without removing the blinds! He got paint on several of the blinds. And to clean up, he would use his fingers and then transfer the paint to door knobs, bathroom towels, etc. The guy weighs about 220 and he was standing on top of the granite countertops to paint the high parts of the kitchen. I told Steve that if he cracks the slab, he's going to have to pay for it. The worst part was that Steve decides he's going to take another job in a different city while in the middle of our job without any warning or notice. In the meantime, we're living with all the furniture in several rooms piled up in the center of the room and covered with drop cloths. This went on for 3 days where Steve didn't respond to texts or phone calls. This was an unnecessary period of stress. He eventually came back and completed most of the work. The work was not at the same level of quality as the first time. There are still areas on the wall where the previous color is visible. I just saw one of those and it reminded me to post a review. I vowed we won't be having Steve do any more work on our home and will warn others about this Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde business style.

We couldn't be more pleased with the job Steve did. He was fast, courteous, and communicative. The work was expertly done, and his price was a bargain compared to other estimates we received. We would use him again in a heartbeat.
