I brought my children to this school due to the horrendous amounts of bullying, unfair treatment from staff, and an inactive principal they faced at their old one. The only thing that did not follow them to this school is that the bullying is far less. I am only giving this review one extra star because at the very least the children attending this school are a little nicer. But that is not saying a whole lot. The main reason I am unhappy is because whenever there is a problem, nothing is done to fix it. My oldest daughter who attends the school is currently facing one of these unsolved problems. Some teachers within the school will choose students that they like and allow them to get away with cheating, or being awful to others, while others such as my daughter are harassed over nothing. One of those teachers will spend the entire 45 minutes my daughter is with her being an outright bully!! She puts my daughter down for trying her hardest and still not being the best. My daughter will contact me nearly every day after this teacher's class and will be either furious or in tears because of what that teacher has said. She told me that there will be students blatantly sleeping during the entire class and still, she is the one being insulted through most of the class period. I'm going to be honest, I was a little too shocked to believe it. But then I met the teacher in person and heard her talking badly about her students outside of school and realized how true it was. My daughter spoke to the principal about it and was told that it wasn't her (the principal's) problem, but that my daughter needed to talk to this awful teacher herself. I talked to the principal and got the same answer. Infuriating! Another example I have of the school is a girl who was bullied out of it. She was on one of the sports teams. At the end of the season, they were posting pictures that were dedicated to the girls who had left the team before the end of the season. Those pictures included the former players' shirts being lined up and honored. The girl who was bullied out of school's shirt was nowhere to be found. I found this sickening and I am not even that child's parent. Why would the school allow this?? After she was blatantly bullied, why would they put her down even further? There are too many more examples for me to give of why this school could be a bad choice for your children. Unfortunately, there are no more options for my children so we are stuck. I know that many of you are in the same boat, but PLEASE, if you can, send your kids somewhere else. Maybe that school will take more steps to help the children than this one does.
