Absolutely terrible experience! It was a bad situation turned into a complete nightmare as a result of the technician failing to realize the most accessible and reasonable way to unclog a blockage- 100% open visible pipes in my laundry room with a drain directly in the floor below the pipes. I could go on about this nightmare, literally makes me sick, but essentially as a result of the way the technician decided to unclog using a powered snake through my bathroom sink a pipe in my basement came unsealed which they took no responsibility for and vile sludge and water covered my entire laundry room. The technician said he wouldn’t charge me but couldn’t guarantee it was unclogged and another technician would be out to reseal the pipe (that service would cost me). I called and spoke to the owner and he said they cannot be held responsible for a pipe that was that wasn’t sealed properly and they could send someone out for a fee estimate for the water and clean up — but I would still have to pay. My thought is they are the expert, if they had evaluated the job right the first time, the pvc seal would still be intact!! The other plumber shows up, who said he could reseal the pipe but that it was still clogged and the problem wouldn’t necessarily be fixed... his rate was double per hour! He said that the work would be much more extensive. I had the worst feeling and I needed time to make the proper decision so I told the guy I appreciated his time but would not being moving forward. I had another company come out, they were dumbfounded by how this situation was approached considering there was direct access to the pipes (literally there was an end cap that you could unscrew and get direct access to the clogged area because of how the pipes were configured - which the first technician after the pipe coming out of its seals said he would have done but there was water in the bathtub— hello buckets? Even then, bath water is much better than disgusting sludge water). Anyways, the new company was able approach the situation logically and efficiently- including reorganizing the pipes to correct the flow of the pipes. I get it, every business has bad days, we all make mistakes but this situation could had all been avoided given a proper evaluation & the fact that they do not hold themselves responsible for cause of affect situations - sure they waved the cost for a service that didn’t solve the problem and theft me with twice the damage and planned on charging me twice the hour rate to get the new damage they caused fixed! How is that right? Where is the integrity!? If people are paying you for a service it needs to be all encompassing and done with integrity. It’s not even about the techs it’s about how the company handled the situation and is why I will NEVER be calling them again! Aside from my husband currently serving overseas and having enough on my plate already - absolutely no one deserves to have a situation be made worse and have them walk out and offer to fix it by charging more!! To top it off, the techs didn’t bother to be mindful of the fact they drug sludge all over my house on carpet.
To the company, do not contact me on behalf of this review. I want absolutely nothing to do with your company — I gave you the opportunity to do the right thing. I’m done with this, this situation and your company.
Well wishes on the improvement of your policies and procedures!
