I turned off my main water line inside my home to replace a water softener. The nut on top of the ball valve joint was missing, so I needed to seat the handle in place to turn it off. When I attempted to turn it back on, it wouldn't budge. After researching online and with the knowledge I gathered, I determined I would need a new ball valve joint. Before buying a valve, I needed to know how it attached. I slowly turned the threaded bold holding the joint, thinking the water was turned off. Water came out from the threads, then I realized the water coming into the house from outside wasn't shut off. Being a main water line and not knowing where that shut off was, I decided to contact a plumber the next day. I didn't need a flood in my basement. I called Austin at 12:54 pm and spoke to Mary Ellen, explaining my situation and that I was currently without water. She said she could have someone come out at 4:00 to check it out. I got a call at 2:52 with notice that he was on the way. Wow, I was blown away by that. Pete pulled up a short time later. He was personable, professional, informative and easy going. He took time to answer any and all questions I had, and adding information I hadn't known to ask. I was extremely impressed with both his quality work and his demeanor. Consistency and integrity are words that come to me in my dealing with Mary Ellen and Pete. Keep up the good work! It is highly appreciated.

My plumber,Scott, arrived on time, he was very knowledgeable about the product line of sump pumps I had to choose from. He was very personal and friendly while working staying on task. He finished the job in a timely manner and left the work area clean. He completely explained the functions of the new product . I would recommend Austin Plumbing to my friends and family !!!

My well pump failed on Sunday morning. I called Austin Plumbing and had someone at my house at 8 on Monday. Scott was very thorough and explained the situation along with my options. They worked very efficiently and I had my water back in the afternoon. Scott walked me through the new system and when they left there was no mess, like they were never there. I am very happy with the service level and I would recommend them to anyone with plumbing needs.

Scott M came promptly and made cleaning preparations. Gave us some necessary options to consider. Within 6 hours, we had a new hot water heater, a flood pan underneath and a chimney sleeve installed. Very pleased with Austin plumbing and their service plan as well

The plumber that came out to fix a sump pump issue did not fix the problem after diagnosing it. He cut the discharge pipe extremely close to the house and fit it with an elbow and extension pipe. However after cutting the discharge pipe he just shoved the elbow on and left it. he didn't wait to see if his fix would take the pressure of the sump pump discharge. When my wife came home the discharge pipe was disconnected and flailing all over as water was pooling next to the house. She frantically bailed water from the area and them was able to wedge the elbow to the cut discharge pipe. We had a handyman come and correct this work. We would definitely not recommend this company.
