After posting my original review got a text from the owner being very upset telling me to remove this post then went as far as to threaten me to get this post taken down this guy is ridiculous giving me bad information and telling me lie after lie would stay away from him did not work for homestar itself but have worked for one of the companies owned by the same guy so posted here and will post to every company he has involvment with to hopefully prevent this from happening to anyone else. The company is very good at what they do however from an employee stand point i have been trying to get my ROE from them for while now they don't respond to me half the time and i was told to drop the truck off for maintenance then he gave the truck to a new driver with all my stuff still inside which i still havent got all my belongings back nor have i recieved my ROE then i found my own belongings from contacting other drivers and when i asked for a number for a driver he was very arrogant and said how many times do i have to send it well at least once would be nice the truck i drove was missing a wheel stud that he would not replace nor so he do other repairs that needed to be done and even at the start of all this he ignored me for a week amd a half then responds with something like yeah its not nice when people dont respond to you is it reffering to me not responding in a timely manner when i was working there but does not excuse him to conduct himself in such a manner being the owner of a company i am posting on this company as he is also part owner of this company as well so will be posting to the other places he has involvement with as people should be warned before working for him as i now have to contact a lawyer to sort this whole mess out

Great local company that gives back to the community, supports co-op programs and family life. When you do business with this company, the owner is literally just a phone call away, willing to talk with anyone and pitch in anyway. Titles don't matter there, everyone pitches in and gets the job done. Their designer Sarah has INCREDIBLE vision and their door and window salesman/project manger Dean really knows his stuff. He came to measure windows one afternoon, took his shoes off at the door, talked about what I was looking for, gave me a variety of options and opinions as well as pointed out things the other companies did not!!

Asked for estimate for mud room on both slab and posts. Homestay was pushing for slab from the get go but told me they would send an estimate for both. Got estimate for mud room on slab but not on posts. Tried to get a hold of them for 3 weeks (called and emailed). Finally was able to get a hold of someone by messaging on Facebook who apologized and promised the contractor would call me back first thing the next morning. Waited 3 days and he still hadn't called. Messaged on Facebook to say I was taking my business elsewhere and that I never got a call. Apologized again and promised another call. I said forget it, not worth my time. Contractor called anyway to apologize and said he didn't send the estimate because sonotubes aren't allowed as a footing in Hampton. I'm dealing with the company who installs sonotubes (thstha all they do) and they say they've never heard of them not being allowed in any municipalities, including Hampton. Called town office and they said they are absolutely allowed and there is no such rule. Very glad I avoided doing business with these guys, found much better deal (over 30% less) and easier communication with another place who does great work. Reccomend shopping around for contractors.
