In the end price was high for a basic job. Quality of work was good. When i first called to book they made sure i was fully aware of the value of their time, mentioning the costs for drive time and distance and truck fees etc;. They contacted me after the job was done and paid to say the plumber screwed up the bill. No time for my questions; said she'd mail me another invoice. I took an hour from my work day to go to their office to fix their mistake and pay a second bill. Their time is worth money; mine, apparently, is worthless.

Get ready to pay unexpected sky rocket invoice which will not match with initial quotation You will feel like that you life in that part of the world which is not normal Typical Canadian type business example Rogers, bell when you open bill you feel like calling paramedics If you need plumbing service call them and see there will extra loud sound will come on other side of the phone with no customer service sense

Compared to box stores prices are comparable, when discussing advice and knowledge, the staff at Brunet are invaluable

Used Brunet plumbing for a kitchen renovation, we needed to move our sinkdrain a few feet to fit a new dishwasher. Called on a Thursday, and was told a plumber could stop by Friday after 2pm. Plumber arrived at 1:30pm on Friday, completing the job at 4:30pm with no issues. The plumber (unfortunately I can’t recall his name) was great and helped me understand everything he was doing. Communication was great and I was very happy with the work completed. Glad I didn’t try to do it myself. I would have provided 5 stars if it weren’t for a billing issue. I received the invoice for 4 hours of labour. When I called the office to dispute the additional hour, I was told that they charge for travel time as well. Which in my opinion is fair. However, my home is no more than 15 minutes from their office, so I had concerns paying for a full hour if only 30 minutes of travel time was incurred (round trip). They said that travel time is charged based on the previous worksite location. So in my mind, if the plumber was working in Belleville (45 minutes away), I should be notified ahead of time so I know what to expect. I can’t control where the plumber is before my job. I argued that this detail was not disclosed, but it was made to seem as if they were “doing me a favour” by coming on such short notice (almost like a courtesy cost). Don’t get me wrong, I appreciated them arriving so soon and I understand there is a cost to run a business, but I had 2 other plumbers willing to do the work same day/next day. As a customer, this was a little disappointing, however they agreed to reduce the hours charged from 4 to 3.5 (30 minutes travel, 3 hours labour). For those who consider using Brunet, overall the job was completed satisfactory. It has been 2 weeks since the plumbing work was completed and we’ve had no issues with drainage. I would recommend others get a full understanding of how Brunet will charge you for their services prior to committing. If they do in fact charge for travel time, try and get a morning time so you only get charged for travel from their office, instead of another worksite which could be farther away. Disclosure: at the time of booking I was told the costs would include; labour of $89/hr, $10 truck cost (for them to come out), and materials. Travel cost was not disclosed.
