Our boiler also serves to heat our domestic water. We were experiencing progressive lack of hot water to the point that a short shower would go cold. We waited for warmer weather in case of a lengthy long term shut down for repairs then called Altrol. The technician quickly and efficiently determined that the heating coils were almost completely plugged. He also reviewed the last tune-up by others and determined that it had not been done correctly. We scheduled a coil replacement and tune-up for the next day - fantastic job; we now have hot water in abundance, the furnace is not running continuously and is performing very efficiently. Great job and we now have a new furnace tune-up company.

Great customer service. We’ve used this company twice for boiler issues, both gentleman who have worked on our boiler have been so friendly and professional. Highly recommend this company to anyone.

8:30pm New Year's Eve, my water softener pipe burst. I called Altrol and they answered right away. The serviceman Bobby called me shortly thereafter. We decided to wait until morning for repairs. The receptionist called me back to be sure the serviceman had been in touch. Bobby was at the house at 9am New Year's Day. He was professional, polite and had the new pipes replaced in about an hour. I was concerned about the cost and was very surprised at the reasonable price to come out on a holiday. I will use their services again and would ask for Bobby. I could not have asked for faster, better service. Thank you Altrol, and Bobby.

I have yet to have a positive experience with Altrol. Their services in general are extremely overpriced, even with the so-called "energy saver discount." Don't get yourself caught up in this so-called "perk." Do yourself a huge favor and call around before you commit to any work by this company. The parts they fix on our boiler continue to break, time and again. I refused to have them repair an alleged backflow problem recently when we had them out for a simple clean and tune on our boiler, as we are preparing for the sale of our house. I called another boiler repairman. According to our new boiler guy, Altrol completely failed to notice our leaky expansion tank. The other guy was able to make the repairs to the tank and the back-flow problem at a significantly lesser rate than Altrol. And don't let them tell you that you need glycol! We've been suckered into that ploy already. I tried to cancel my energy savings membership after only six months. They had the audacity to tell me that this should be a "selling point" for us in trying to sell our house. Are you kidding me?! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! I gave them a chance to make it right and at least give us a partial refund for our energy savings membership, but my business doesn't seem to matter much to them. Luckily they have a sweet lady answers the phone; she makes up for the rude and condescending technicians they have working for them.

Altrol service: July 6th called altrol to fix my Samsung microwave. They couldn’t come out until the 17th, between 8am and 4pm. They came out on the morning of the 17th. Tech looked at microwave and in doing so broke a plastic cover plate. He told me that he didn’t carry the part my microwave needed, would have to order it. August 2nd, I called Altorl to see if my part is in and what is happening to get my microwave fix. They said they would contact their shipping personal to see where my parts are at and get back to me. I called the next day, because they had not called me. Lady was very rude to me, for calling her about something that she should have done yesterday. She transferred me to the shipping person who explained that my parts were on back order. I asked when anyone was going to contact me with this information. She said she didn’t know it was on back order until I ask about it. So, I’m making them do their job. I really hate that! It would be another two weeks before they may get it. I don’t know where they ordered from, but I could find the parts and have them at my house in a 7-10 days. Not a fan of their office staff.
