To install new water heater, we made several calls, and a quote from Fast was more attractive than others (found several companies online, incl. Sears, etc). Mark came on time, was friendly, had all necessary tools and cleaned after he was done - it took him about an hour! I took one star out because the quote on the phone was about two hundred dollars less than Mark had in his invoice for us. I understand that it was not his fault, he'd done a great job. It's already a week since he installed a new heater, and it works alright. I suggest that company's dispatcher should disclose all chargers when talking with potential client, that would make installers' (Mark, in our case) visit less stressful.

Fast and friendly service from start to finish. Our tech, George, arrived on time, was friendly and, again, explained the procedure quickly and clearly. He went out of his way to schedule 4th of July weekend installation. When he arrived on the day of installation, he did all the prep work while waiting for his helper. They completed the job without hic-ups and within the window given... I would recommend this company to anyone. They were great from start to finish!

The woman on the phone was VERY nice and helpful. The gentleman who came out was efficient and polite. The quote on the phone was for five hundred something, but she did say that there may be more work needed. When the man came out, there was over $300 of extra "permit work". We had the old one installed 7 years ago, so I was surprised and disappointed. We paid since our old heater was leaking and we were stuck. The installation cost ended up being over $600, not counting the cost of the heater itself. Seemed high to me...............

Late Sunday morning, I discovered a leak in my 20 year-old water heater. Even though I missed the Home Depot deadline for same day service, the technician (Mark) who had already been working a long day agreed to come out within a few hours. He was very professional, explained exactly what needed to be done to bring the installation up to code, provided me with options where I had a choice, and did a thorough job from start to finish. You should be aware - and the technician who quoted me over the phone did make it clear - that if you have an old or non-professionally installed heater, there may be additional costs beyond the base quote in order to ensure that the new heater will pass the city inspection. This may be frustrating, but you need to be realistic about the possibility of additional work and materials. Bottom line - For a total of $1,500 I was able to replace the old heater within seven hours of discovering the problem on a Sunday, with no extra charges for weekend or emergency work. I was very happy to not have to worry about showering on Monday morning at the health club and having this problem eat into the work week. Reasonable cost and great service: that's why I give it five stars. I think because this company is a partner with Home Depot, they make an extra effort to make sure their service is good to excellent.
