He assessed the problem and made the fix. Also very courteous. However, he spent too much time trying to sell upgrades for items that were not broken. He suggested upgrading both my toilets. They are both low flow toilets and function fine, but newer low flow toilets would give a better “flushing action”. He suggested I replace the shutoff valves to both toilets since they have a little “play” in them as they come out of the wall. They both work fine and have for years. He said my main shutoff valve mounted on the outside wall of my house leaked when closed and needed to be replaced. There is a faucet for a hose right after the shutoff and I proved that the shutoff did not leak. He then stated it was a gate valve that could stick and he did not like them. The bill that he presents is on a computer and there is no breakdown for parts or labor. Before he arrived, I thought I needed to replace the shutoff valve on both toilets. The price he quoted to fix the problem I thought was a little high but agreed to the price since he was already here and there would be a service charge if I did not use him. As it turned out, he quickly assessed that the problems were the float valves in both toilets. He replaced the float valve and the short feed hose from the shutoff valve to the toilet on both toilets. This was a much easier job than I initially thought the job would entail. Bottom line the total parts for this job were about $60 at best. He spent about 1.5 hours at my house, about 0.5 hour assessing the problem, about 0.5 hour trying to sell me stuff I did not need, and 0.5 hour making the repairs. The total bill was $683. I paid the bill. I thought it seemed awfully high. After looking online for prices to make these repairs I found that I paid about twice the going rate. I wish I had been a little more patient and questioned the price, but I guess I got a little worn down rejecting offers for things I did not need.

When I first called the Pink Plumber, I spoke to a lady who waved the service call since I am a previous customer and spent nearly $2000 the last time. Leslie C arrived and is indeed a terrific plumber. Very capable, courteous and professional. I was so happy with him that I offered him a generous tip. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company because despite the waved service fee, Leslie's boss instructed him to charge me $157 for a 'diagnostic' . I of course flatly refused.

My first impression of this company was professionalism! The two ladies I spoke to in the office were friendly and attentive. Then David! Great guy! I had a “plumber” in my home the day before that I asked to leave - David came in and could see my frustration. He quickly said, I want to help you, let me see what I can do. He gave me three options - he fixed my sinks, checked them three different times to make sure they weren’t leaking. Once was after I paid the reasonable bill. Not all plumbers are professional, VERY competent but still friendly. We talked about our dogs, our new furniture and he but his shoe covers on without me asking. I’m going to get their water treatment system and I will ask for David L. Out of Tampa.

I initially scheduled installation of a hybrid water heater with a plumbing company that gave me a window between 8-12 on a Sunday. Around 10 I called to get an update for a rough estimate as to when the contractor would arrive, but they said that they were running behind and would keep me updated (I had to call myself for updates). I had enough and call pink plumber, I was given a 4 hour window (1pm-5pm), but that time was not met due to an apparent busy plumbing Sunday. The Pink Plumber did call me with updates, which was better than the other company. The other company's contractor did show up around 6 but did not have the parts to do the job and told me he would have to come back the next day. David from pink plumber arrived around 7:30 and despite the long day, gave me an estimate (higher than I anticipated) and was prepared to work. The work was done by 11pm and I have no complaints.

Steven did an amazing job and was quick! My father traveled to come help me fix a leak in the bath tub. What seemed like an easy task ended up being daunting. My mixing valve was so old it didn’t want to come off. Being it was a Sunday I didn’t think I would get anyone out here, but I did! Pink Plumber actually made it with in the hour! Thank you Steven and Pink Plumber. You’re top of the list of I ever need anything else.
