Had a broken pipe underground that needed to be repaired. They came out and dug it up quickly. The repair took less than 25 minutes to complete and then another hour to let the glue dry. Parts were a couple of dollars. When I got the bill I nearly passed out. They charged nearly $450.00!!! They totally ripped me off. I just had a similar repair and got a different company to do it and was only charged $133. I will not be using Roberts Plumbing again.

I was having a home inspection done of a property I was selling in the Gainesville area. We had never had this issue but had a leak from upstairs tub coming through drop ceiling in the bedroom below. I called Roberts and they had someone out within the hour and I called at 4:00pm. We had the problems identified and fixed. I had to pay "after hours" rates but I was glad to because of how quickly and efficiently we got things fixed. Even the after house rates were reasonable in my opinion. I highly recommend this company.

Called Roberts Plumbing on August 3rd in the afternoon to schedule a plumber since we had water backing up in basement shower and I wasn't sure what was clogging the line. The dispatch woman was pleasant enough and advised that a plumber could be there first thing in the morning around 9 with a camera line to figure out my problem. The next day nobody showed up and I called at 10:30, the dispatch advised me that there was an early morning call out the plumber had to go to, fair enough, I understand. Around 1:30 pm the plumber showed up to assist me in diagnosing my plumbing woes. The gentleman was polite and apologized for the length of time it took to respond. He then went about asking general questions to figure out my problem, he advised if the clog was in our septic tank he could not work on it as Roberts Plumbing does not work on septic systems. I asked if his camera line could figure out if the clog was in the drainage line or the septic tank so that I could either have him do the work or call a company that could work on a septic tank. He advised me that he did not have a camera line after all. Since by his admission he had a 50 50 shot at snaking the line and solving my problem I decided to go with a company that was capable of handling septic systems in case the problem was indeed in the tank. My issue with Roberts was the charging of a $60 call out fee after showing up late and then being unable to diagnose the clog due to not having equipment that the dispatch claimed that he would have on him in the first place. Perhaps there was a miscommunication between the plumber and the dispatch before he showed up and thus he was not able to bring the appropriate tools. Either way I felt $60 for nothing was a bit excessive. If you live in the Gainesville area and need diagnosis or work done on a system on septic use Billy Bell, that company actually had the appropriate equipment. To the Robert's plumber's credit he was honest about not being able to do anything and saying there was no way he could diagnose my problem and he is the reason I'm not giving 1 star.
