We had our complete heating and air conditioning systems replaced by RJ Kuhn and we are very satisfied. The people, and the work were very professional, on time and and a pleasure to work with. As part of the new installations, he reworked some of the house wiring and gas line routing which added to an already quality looking job.

Thank you very much for your prompt service today. Also, I want to thank you for the permanent fix for the situation which led to the service call.

We selected this company for a service call on our furnace based on it's glowing reviews. The service was fine, it was the charge that was completely outrageous! Our furnace blower would not come on when we tried to turn the furnace on for the first time this season, we couldn't imagine what the problem was, so we gave them a call. Come to find out, the drain that handles the condensation that occurs normally with our type of furnace and the humidifier, had become clogged (even though we had the furnace ect. "cleaned and checked" a year ago) so the blower wouldn't come on due to water sitting there. The technician cleaned out the drain, which is in the basement floor next to the furnace, the associated 6-7 hoses and ran about a gallon of water down the pvc pipe connected to the furnace/humidifier to further clean everything out. This took in total, including the diagnosis time, about an hour. I'm not including the additional 35 minutes or so the technician spent afterwards on the phone in his vehicle or writing/rewriting the service report in our home. This "repair" didn't require going outside, nor any parts and was on a Thursday morning, so normal service call fee applied. The grand total for this hour of diagnosis and "repair"? $432.00!! That pouring an additional gal of water down the pipe part? $82 of it was just for that, what does that tell you? Last but not least, we were never offered a "repair estimate" before the work was done, but were handed one along with the bill. NEVER AGAIN!!

I cannot say enough good things about this company; from the office staff, to the tech and management, everyone was wonderful. They replaced my furnace and tested the AC. Every step was explained in detail, every question I had answered. Things were done in an incredibly timely manner. I highly recommend R. J. Kuhn as they truly go above and beyond. I will be telling all my friends in the area to use them. Thank you specifically to Jim, Norb, and Donna! You guys are the best.

In the past year, I've had RJ Kuhn out for 3 separate issues: repairing a tankless water heater, rodding our water line when it was blocked with tree roots (and at the last minute replacing my kitchen faucet in the same trip), and clearing out an exterior clogged drain (and tightening down a loose toilet). After working with Rob on site and Michele from the office, I will be hard-pressed to find another plumbing company I like this much when we move out of state. Rob is efficient and friendly and always gets the job done right (and indulges my curiosity by explaining how all the systems work that he's fixing). Michele is my go-to in the office because she is prompt, follows through, and goes the extra mile to make sure things get done efficiently. You can count on their pricing to be fair, and they won't nickle and dime you for every little thing. I can honestly say I will miss them when we move!
