We had service done by Amazing Plumbing a few weeks ago and based on our experience I would NOT recommend them. They totally overcharged, intentionally did unnecessary services so they could charge more and STILL our plumbing has issues.
We were having renovations done on our house including the bathrooms and one morning one of our toilets backed up and could not be fixed with a plunger. Since we suspected some of the workers had been putting construction waste down the drains, our contractor took responsibility and called up Amazing Plumbing. The arrangement was supposed to be that they would rout the drains in the bathroom (for $250) and, if that didn't correct the problem, run a camera through the drain to see what might be going on (for another $200). Well, the plumber routed the drains and said everything was fixed, but then when he called his boss to see how much to charge us, I overheard a conversation where the boss got upset that he had not also run the camera through the drains and actually told the plumber to run the camera anyway, even though the problem had been corrected. The plumber told his boss he could not do that because "the customer is here at the house". SHADY. But it did not end there - the price tag came to $500: $100 for replacing two parts in the toilets and apparently $400 because he routed both the toilet drain and the shower drain - even though the drains are connected after a few feet, so $150 was a total rip-off and it was never discussed that doing two drains would cost more. SHADY. Our contractor offered to pay $300 since his workers had contributed to the problem (the clog turned out to be hair, paint and grout) so we didn't object too much. A pretty terrible first experience but it got worse.
Less than a week later, the toilets in both our upstairs bathrooms started to bubble whenever we would take showers. Since we had never experienced this issue before, we were pretty sure it was due to something the plumber had done, so our contractor called them back to look into it. This time the plumber routed the drains and ran the camera. He tried to claim that there were some spots in our pipes where the turns were too tight and the couplings weren't flush so that was why things were not flowing easily through the drains. I don't know anything about plumbing but it sounded like BS to me since even with the drain clogged with hair, paint and grout, we were not having this problem, so it couldn't be the structure of our drains. But again our contractor paid for the plumber ($375), so we didn't object too much.
A few days later, the toilet in the bathroom downstairs started to bubble when we took showers down there, so we had the contractor talk to another plumber (actually the guy he wanted to use in the first place but he was busy when our problems started) and he said that the problem was something the plumber had pushed down the drain when he was routing and that it should resolve itself after a few days (which it did). So, the bubbling in our upstairs toilets was definitely due to something that had been pushed loose in the first visit - and that should have been corrected at no cost.
So, all in all, we paid $775 to have Amazing Plumbing move a clog from one part of our drain to another. TOTAL RIP-OFF. These guys are the dishonest plumbers you always hear about. STAY CLEAR!
One other thing was the clean-up, or lack thereof. The plumber left all kinds of smudges and scuffs on the bathroom wall and a bunch of "dirt" from the router on our bathroom floor. GROSS. And he dumped the contents of the router down the sewer drain in front of our house - but not all of it went down so there was a bunch of toilet paper just sitting there. GROSS.
