Extremely pleased. They installed an ejector pump to reroute the water coming up through drain during heavy rain, back into the sewer system it was coming out of. Works beautifully. Larry was professional and kept his promises. I highly recommend.

Charged twice for service not properly done on first visit. Friday 1/4/2013 I contacted LGS Plumbing Inc. because I had water in my basement originating from the main drain in the floor. I was told the call would probably be at overtime rate which starts at 3:30 pm because they did not have anyone available due to high volume of calls. Due to the water issue I agreed to pay overtime. A plumber came out to the house a little after 3pm and was finished before 3:30. When he showed me the little handful of roots he had I questioned him because I have had to have this done annually due to roots in the old pipes outside, and on previous occasions they bring back an amount of roots equivalent to a small bush. He stated my pipe is a 4 inch pipe and he probably pushed the rest of the roots out into the 6 inch pipe at the main sewer. I got a call from my tenant on Saturday that water was again coming up through the drain but was only making a puddle a few inches in diameter around the drain. She said it was fine to wait until Monday she didn't have anything near the drain that was going to get wet. I called LGS on Monday approximately 7:15am. The girl on the phone called me back and said they were going to look outside in the sewers or manholes or something to see if it was a different issue. She called back and said that the outside was not a problem and the plumber would need to come back, which he did. The plumber rodded the main drain again and my tenant told me that he told her "he did not get all the roots on Friday and that he went back in with a larger thing and that it should be good now". Her recollection was that he stated he used a 1" on Friday and a 3" on Monday. I received a bill from LGS about a week later charging me for both calls. Larry claims that because they do not use cameras there is no way to be sure they got all the roots out. I told him about the conversation I had with the plumber on Friday when he only had a small handful of roots and that I believe he did not get them all, I feel like it was the end of the day and he saw the water moving and wanted to get home. Larry of course said that was not true. Larry told me the drain in the home is only so big and they can't guarantee to get al the roots because the tool is only so big. Implying there is only one size tool. I said if there is only one size why did he tell the tenant he had to use a bigger one on Monday. He then told me that there are different sizes or whatever and at this point I did not understand his explanation of tools etc. I said well your plumber told my tenant he had to go in with a bigger one (3") on Monday and that he thought he thought he got them all on Friday when the water began to go down but he got a lot more on Monday with the larger tool. Larry claims his plumber would not say that and he asked if he could call me back. He called back again and said his plumber denies that conversation. Then Larry tried to say that sometimes after they do a drain the roots that broke off may cause a blockage. He also said that he doesn't know what she put in the toilet after he left. To which I replied your guy pulled out roots on Friday and he pulled out roots on Monday sabotage is not the issue here. Larry said he would waive $35 or the rodding fee because there isn't any wiggle room to reduce it more. I then argued about the charge for 2 hours labor and stated the guy was only there about 20 minutes or so on Friday and a similar amount of time on Monday - no where near a total of 4 hours. Larry stated that isn't true. I told Larry he arrived Friday after three and I was billed at straight time - I think that proves he was gone by 3:30. He also said they charge from when they leave the shop and get back. I said the shop is 2 miles from my home at the most with travel I agree with two hours for both calls. I stated that I cannot believe he is would not warranty his work for even a weekend. I would not expect it to last a year but certainly a day.
