First lets start with the pricing... I was charge a total of $1,600 for a few simple heating system repairs and a kitchen faucet replacement. At no point in time did the plumber tell me how much the work would cost even though I asked for some price quotes both over the phone and while the plumber was at my house. Brian came to my house at 10 am and was finished with the job by 12:30 pm so it was approximately 2.5 hours worth of work. I looked up the cost of parts on Amazon for each item provided by the plumber and the total came out to around $159. This means that I Brian charged me approximately $576 per hour for his services. I understand that there should be some markup for parts but even with 100% markup, the costs don't add up. Even with a 100% markup for parts the plumber is still collecting $512 per hour for labor! Is this even legal, especially considering that nowhere in the conversation or on the contract did the plumber tell me his hourly rate. What stops his from charging me $3,000 or even $4,000 for same work? Below is what the itemized receipt looks like for the work completed: replace zone valve - $325 - (part cost $90) replace air vent - $125 - (part cost $14) replace expansion tank - $325 - (part cost $40) Replace kitchen faucet which was owner supplied - $375 - (Parts cost 0) Replace disposal which was owner supplied - $325 - (parts cost 0)(I wasn't planing to replace the disposal but the plumber decided to take my original one off to have to more space to work. The old was rusted so I ran out and bought a new one while he was working on the faucet) replace supply valve to water line going to fridge - $125 - (parts cost $15)(this was a quick 5 minute swap-out since the one that was already there seemed to leak when turned on.) Besides the pricing Brian did arrive on time and was friendly enough so I had a good experience while he was at my house (besides a few instances when Brian yelled out obscene language in front of my visiting family members while working under my sink). I just wish they did not rip me off. Brian did not provide any price quotes and just started the work without hesitation. If I knew how much he was going to charge me, I would have asked him to leave and would have called a different plumber.

Catano Plumbing just finished installing a new water heater and doing an oil to natural gas furnace conversion for us today. They were GREAT! They did everything in two days. The first day they took out the oil tank and furnace and installed the water heater so that we had hot water again by that afternoon. The following day they finished installation of the new natural gas furnace and we came home to a warm house. The installation was done really well, and they completely cleaned up after the work was done. They did a fantastic job for about half the cost of another highly rated Boston area plumbing company. We are really impressed and we'd recommend them to anyone. We will also contact them next time we have a sizable job.

Five stars, hands down. Mike came to my house and gave me a quote for a hot water heater. His quote was better than others I had looked at. He was very friendly, I told him about some of my other plumbing needs and he talked me out of spending a lot of money. He installed my hot water heater a few days later. He arrived when he said he would and did the job quickly and accurately. I would absolutely recommend Mike, and will continue to use him for all of my plumbing and hvac needs moving forward.

I am not sure where to start. I had a 8000$ job with them. In summary, they changed their quote once the job started, the quality of work WAS HORRIBLE. and they never finished the job after chasing them for three months! Stay AWAY from these guys. All negative things apart, the quality of the work is very poor. Initially Pat gave me a quote for 7000 after visiting the job and once they wanted to start, they increase to 8000$ after so much negotiating to keep it close to his first quote. Every faucet installation and plumbing Paul did, he had to come back to fix the leak. In one occasion, the leak was so bad that leaked to the ceiling of the floor below on a newly painted ceiling. Paul reorganized pipes three times for one of my vanities and yet still didn't fit the vanity, even though he had the chance to do it right before the vanity was installed. I had to cut my brand new vanity in order to be able to pull out my drawer. Both vanities work that he did, we had to cut the brand new vanity to fix the issue. He still needs to come complete the job I already paid for and each time they bring excuses and after three months since beginning of the job still not done. STAY AWAY from them if you want my advice.

20 minutes work of replacing a fill valve cost me $275. Splashed water all over the floor AND on bathroom door. The guy even locked the door from inside and tried to clean up a bit using my facial wipes...
