I'm giving two stars because the owner was able to fit me in last minute and stop a water leak as a temporary fix. BUT, I would not use them again or recommend. This is why--1. Competency and work ethic. I called about a plugged toilet that turned out to be causing a leak in the basement. They shut off the water to the offending toilet when they couldn't unplug it with their snake, told me the septic tank would need to be pumped to hopefully fix the clog and that wasn't something they could do, and acted like they wanted to leave the whole time they were here. Though I appreciated the stopgap, I was disappointed they didn't seem interested in doing any more work toward a solution. They seemed to want to just get to the next job. That might not sound too bad until you hear that our regular handyman came by the next morning and was able to fix the clog within an hour, maybe less. He and his helper used their 30-foot snake to unplug it (J.W. only had a 6-foot snake, surprising since he's a master plumber). J.W. said he wouldn't pull up the toilet to investigate further. Guess what the handyman was more than willing to do? Yep, pull up the toilet to make sure the job was done right. The handyman's demeanor, service, and dedication to getting the job were far superior than J.W.'s--even though both were last-minute calls. I also recently moved from Clinton Township and am shocked how challenging it is to find good customer service up here. 2. Cost. J.W. charged an outrageous amount for a shotty toilet snaking attempt, looking around the place, and turning off some water. Based on other reviews here, he could be in the habit of price gauging women, expecting them not to know better. Shame on him. Then again, maybe he's overcharging everyone. The handyman did more work, fixed the issue, and charged less. I wasted time and money calling J. W.

We had a water heater go bad and called Jeff early in the morning. He was able to squeeze us in later in the day and we are back up and running and able to shower! Great support, install looks really good, everything cleaned up and tidy when they left. Would definitely recommend.

Feb 2, 2018 New problem with the sink plumbing! I am standing in a puddle right now in front of my sink. It seems the pipe connection just fell off. See picture. Great master plumber work? I think not. What can I say, JW charged us for service call, parts & labor of $850.00 to hook up our dishwasher and install a new faucet and drains on our sink. I called him out on his charges after my wife told me what she paid. I advised him that we thought he was overcharging us, hoping for a new calculation that would reflect the correct charges in the ball park of $300 to $350, which after checking with other plumbers is the going rate. He said that the $850 is what a master plumber charges up here. We are from Clinton Township and moved up to Attica 2 weeks ago. He stated that included in the charge was an amount for going under the house to look at our well bladder. In addition, my wife had asked him to test our water and he agreed. When they were leaving she asked about the water test and was screamed at by him saying that "they had spent to much time at our house already" and he was not going to do it. He continued to argue for half an hour repeating that these were up north rates and that is the charge for up here. I had really hoped to find more caring and helpful people moving north to a smaller town. WOW, I could not be more disappointed.

They replaced heating elements in our hot water tank. They were able to service it the same day we called. Very neat and professional, would recommend them to anyone.
