I'll start by saying the installers did a good job, the problem is not with them. The sales and management of this company is incredibly sleazy, bordering on something else, I'll let you be the judge. They were called to the home of my 93 yr old aunt to replace a zone valve. By the time they left, they had her signed to a contract to replace her entire boiler heating system by telling her that the boiler was cracked and animals were coming in. There was no previous evidence to support this and Center Point Energy had checked her heating system the day before, when they found the bad valve, and did not report any problem with her heating system. They did not pull a permit, which may be illegal, probably because they knew it would raise red flags. They began the work almost immediately, not allowing the 72-hr contract cancellation period to pass before doing the work. Even if there was something wrong with the boiler, which is doubtful, they sold a 93 yr old woman the best, most expensive boiler available. Because of these people, she is out of savings and is paying two loans for this, putt extreme pressure on a very old woman. They are reprehensible. Do you want to do business with a company like this?

Just writing to give you an update about our fresh furnace and A/C units. Everything seems to be running well, and we really appreciated the speed in which your crew (Dave Clemens, mainly) slapped those items into our house. Dave told me that I will need to call you guys this spring once the temperature stays at a reasonable level so he can check on the Freon levels (or something like that). He also wanted to build up the platform that the A/C sits on outside with some dirt. On another note, I gave my next door neighbor a Dave Clemens business card, since he is moving into a new townhouse or condo in Shoreview, I believe. He claims he may need some work done out there

I experienced dishonesty with the quote I received over the phone. Over the phone I was told that the starting cost of the work I needed done would be a certain amount. When the plumber arrived, the starting cost was $200 higher for the exact job I requested a quote for over the phone. This cost was way too high for the job. You should make sure the people answering your phone know how much the work actually costs if they are going to be giving quotes. Especially when you charge $88 for the plumber to just show up. Basically I paid $88 for someone to come to my house and tell me the work would cost much more than I was originally quoted. You should be honest and transparent with customers - they will appreciate it and will return to you.

We needed a very simple plumbing job - hooking up a new gas dryer. (I had disconnected the old dryer. The new machine was in place - we just needed someone to reattach the gas line) After searching Google, Minneapolis St. Paul was the first who could come out, so we went with them. The plumber arrived, I told him it was an easy job, and he said "he'd have to look at some things." A half hour later, the plumber comes back upstairs and starts walking me through three pricing options (remember, I just need the gas line reattached to my dryer). The pricing options ranged from $1500 all the way up to $10,000. The $10,000 option including moving our sink, water softener, and pipes and bringing everything up to code. Never mind we had no interest in doing those things. The "cheap" option at $1500 seemed exorbitant. When I pointed that out, the plumber said it was because everything needed to be up to code. I said that was ridiculous and we parted ways. The next day, we had another local plumber out (Norblom Plumbing, if you're looking for someone great). Norblom's plumber took a look, said "that valve is not up to code so I'll have to replace it" and then he immediately set to work. Literally 15 minutes later, the dryer was hooked up and working great, we were up to code, and the total cost? $111.09. For the same job MSP tried charging us $1500. Don't go with MSP plumbing.

WAY too expensive. WAY too expensive. We did call and were told too bad you signed for it. My wife was chasing our two kids at the time and probably would have signed it if it said a million dollars. The fact is, they charged around $400 to replace the handle on our toilet and guess what, a month later it still didn't work. All I'm saying is call around a little bit and you'll be able to find someone a lot cheaper. Too bad for this place, we had a lot more work that needed to be done and they won't be getting our business.
