Dent Air Conditioning replaced my 28 year old forced air A/C & heating unit including the outside condenser. They did an excellent job and were very concerned about me being happy with the results. During part of the install, they had to remove a door trim to get the unit inside the heating closet because the new unit was a little bit too wide for the opening. They were very careful not to do any damage and restored the trim to original condition.

Dent Air Conditioning replaced all of the old damaged ductwork under my house - tough job, but their team was excellent! Barry and the crew did a fantastic job, and with their re-design of the air distribution system, the house is more comfortable than it has ever been. The whole team was professional and considerate of my family's needs as they worked around our home. I can't say enough good about our experience with them. I highly recommend Dent for any of your HVAC or Plumbing needs.

I am writing about an unacceptable experience with Dent A/C and Electrical. I feel very taken advantage of. I cannot think of a similar experience being taken advantage of and lied to by a company like Dent has. I am posting this because I do not want other people to deal with this. I called about an over-the-stove vent that stopped working following a lightning storm. The Dent rep said they could handle the issue so I agreed to have their electrician come over for an $85 diagnostic work-up. First, the electrician did not show on time. I told him we had changed the fuse twice and that it blew immediately once power was turned on to the unit. He insisted that the fuse was the reason and that the fuse simply needed to be changed and that the unit would work. He then informed me that he did not have that specific size fuse in his truck. The fuse is a standard 5amp 20mm glassbody and costs less than a $1 The electrician stated that he would need to go to Lowe's to purchase it and that he estimated this could cost $200. I again reminded him that we'd changed the fuse, and that we had told Dent the fuses had blown. Not only was he failing to tell me new information/diagnose the problem and $200 was completely unreasonable. Unfortunately, we did not have any more of the fuses (though we would have happily purchased some if the Dent employee who made our appointment told us to have them on hand). Being an upright citizen, I paid him the diagnostic fee and then called the Dent office back. I described my experience with the "so-called diagnostic work-up" and how I was unsatisfied with the service (or lack thereof) I received. I reminded them that I had described the problem and they came both unprepared and unwilling to help within reasonable standards. The office staff said they would call me on Monday and send someone else out to help, at no additional cost, to complete the diagnosis. As an aside, I went back to Lowe’s and bought the fuse again and changed it myself given how infuriated I was with the Dent electrician. Of course, I got home, replaced the fuse and it blew again immediately after restoring the power on. So on Monday and I do not receive a call from Dent by 10am. When I spoke with the lady in electrical, she said “we will not be sending anyone out because you refused the diagnostic work-up to be completed”. To be clear, I never refused the work-up; I refused paying $200 for an electrician to change a fuse that I had already changed and had notified the company that this was occurring before they even came. First of all, I was taken aback as they had promised to send someone out. I was also very disappointed and expressed my frustration in their service and not completing the job they were paid to do. She then said “you should have called an appliance repairman instead”. Now that I couldn’t believe!!! They said they could handle the issue when I first called. They came unprepared. And they made an unreasonable suggestion to essentially try and take advantage of me and charge $200 for a $1 fuse they knew had blown. I am an honest citizen and so paid the man when he was in my house; now that they have my money, they refuse to honor their word and then recommend I call another company! That was infuriating. The second major issue was that she was extremely rude on the phone. She said "lady, you can keep telling me anything you want but we're not coming back out there". I couldn’t believe this was how they treat their customers.
