I have been using Joe Giannone for almost 30 years. Joe is professional, patient and honest to a T. He has done work for me ranging from a drippy faucet to replacing my water service. My first encounter with Joe was when I was referred to him by a contractor doing work for me. I had bumped the old lead service and it was leaking. I had just bought my home and was not in the position to replace my service. Joe never tried to sell me a new service and was able to repair the service for $100. This repair held for a few years until I could afford a new service. I am often hesitant to recommend trades people as I feel their performance will reflect upon my reputation. However I have been happy to recommend Joe many times over the years.

It's been quite cold in Philadelphia these past several weeks, so when my 40+ year old heating system's expansion tank failed on Sunday and all the water drained from my radiators, I was a bit panicked and quickly became cold. My PGW Parts & Labor Plan won't cover any component of a heating system that is connected to water, so I had to call a plumber. I got several recommendations from friends whom I trust and called on Martin Luther King Day. Because of the cold, plumbing & heating demand is very elevated, but Joseph Giannone found time between jobs to come out, assess the situation and identified instantly not only the problem but the exact part and manufacturer. He called the supply house on speaker phone in my presence. Unfortunately, the part -- an expansion tank with kit -- was not in stock, but rather, was on order and actually in transit. To my good fortune the part arrived the next day, I had a phone call from the company and a price quote, as well as the option to do the job the next day (today). The plumber who arrived was polite, knowledgeable and efficient. He verified the price quote before starting, explained the job, and set to work. When he left several hours later, there was no trace he'd been here... and my house is toasty warm after only about 30 minutes, after three days with no heat at all. Obviously, every experience will be different -- sometimes unexpected problems arise -- but I will not hesitate to call this company again, and will recommend it to my friends, should the need arise. Thanks, Joe and Rich!

apparently they don't work on gas heaters no more called because I know they did work on my heater in the past and they referred me to a company called Port air in delaware county which apparently this is just a guy that does side work, I strongly suggest not making this referral when the so called company can't even answer the phone and its a guys personal cell number

I initially did not have such great experience making an appointment, but the owner went out of his way to make it right even coming to my home on a weekend which was really appreciated. Nice guy and extremely hard working.

I will never use this company again! We just moved into our house a few months ago and we were having some issues with our hot water not working properly in our bathrooms. We called Joseph Giannone and they sent out a guy who kept repeating how he basically had never seen an issue like ours before and wasn't sure how to fix it. He got some help over the phone and proceeded to adjust a piece in each of the showers. He fixed the first 2 without an issue, but broke a piece on the last shower trying to put everything back together. The job was initially priced at $275 but once they broke the piece we were expected to pay for it, which cost an additional $52. Before it was fixed I expressed my issues with having to pay extra to Joe over the phone. Once it was fixed, I received a bill that still included the charge for the piece. I again expressed my issues (now to the worker Dennis who broke it) with having to pay for something that he clearly broke and he became extremely aggressive towards me. Yelling and pointing his finger in my face telling me "you don't know anything about plumbing!" and "I've gone out of my way for you!" We had a massive leak after he broke the piece, and had to turn the main water valve on and off every time we absolutely needed the water in our household. We had to deal with the inconvenience for a week until the new part arrived. They were also supposed to fix a sink for us, and it was never fixed. Apparently, he went out of his way by even looking at it? I work in the customer service industry managing a restaurant. This is the first negative review I've posted about any business but I'm absolutely appalled by the way I was treated. I could never imagine yelling in a customers face "you have no idea how to run a restaurant!" He was right that I don't know the first thing about plumbing, but I do know that the way I was treated is no way to run a business!
