These guys were friendly professionals from start to finish. Water heater went out suddenly and they replaced next day early. Especially for it being last minute, price was reasonable. I plan to use these guys for all our plumbing and HVAC needs from now on. thanks, Brad

Honest service at an honest price.

We have used Marathon in the past. My parents use them and our family friends use them as well. We did not have a problem with them until recently. We called on a Monday to explain our dishwasher was leaking. They said they they would be out that evening. They did not show up and did not call so we called them. They apologized and said they were delayed due to the weather and rescheduled for that Wednesday. Wednesday came, no show and no call so we called them. They apologized, said there was and emergency and they would be out the next day. Thursday came, no show and no call but PROMISED they would be out the next day even if the owner had to come out himself. At this point I had already told my husband we should use someone else because we were running out of time but he said that Mike sounded like a good guy and maybe they were having a bad week. I originally recommended we call Marathon because of their reputation with our family so we decided to wait again. With a broken dishwasher and company coming into town this was extremely inconvenient. They finally showed up on Friday, spent less than 20 min and charged us for the full hour. To top it off, the technician said we would need to get a new dishwasher or call someone who works on appliances because they don't provide that service (I wish they had said this when we called). I do not, and will not ever have a problem paying for service, however, to not offer some kind of discount to make up for the lost time was unprofessional. My husband even called to make sure the charge was correct just in case Mike forgot to let the technician know about the schedule mishaps. Nope. He was told that "that's what it cost to send a technician out." I understand this, and under different circumstances, we would be more than happy to pay but to not even offer a 10% discount is a slap in the face. We will no longer use Marathon Mechanical and will be letting everyone we know about the poor service.
