Wilber is "The Best"!!! Impeccable customer service, every time!!

Unfortunately, many small business in residential neighborhoods do not understand the need for decent customer service. C.G. Plumbing Supply (w/ hardware & gardening supplies as well), is one of these shops. 1 woman who works behind the counter was somewhat unpleasant when I went in to have my keys cut one day. I asked about their return policy and mentioned that I had a hard time having a perfect copy of my keys made in the past. My house keys had been particularly difficult to copy before and I wanted to make sure that I could return the copied set if there was a problem. She seemed a bit insulted by the implication that her machine may not cut my keys properly because she responded: "We've never had a problem with keys,"... that was her exact response. It was unpleasant and I'm sure anyone who's ever dealt with this store before has gotten a whiff of their bad customer service, at least from the woman I dealt with that day. And just as I suspected, one of my keys did not work when I returned home. I was so disgusted by her manners that I didn't even bother returning them. I'd much rather support a local business than take my money to a superstore such as Home Depot but too often, small neighborhood businesses such as C.G. Plumbing Supply believe they are only obligated to TAKE money in exchange for goods and NOTHING more. Many businesses like this completely lack in the area of customer service. Offering poor customer service will NOT bring in repeat customers. By offering lame customer service, you'll only be able to make money ONCE from each person that walks through the door because if they were treated poorly, they will NOT return. Eventually, business dries up not only because you have no repeat customers, but also because that 1 customer you were snide with or dismissive to has gone on to spread the word about your store to 10 other potential customers. The woman was not completely flat out rude that day - please do not misunderstand me, but she was certainly unpleasant. I will not bring my money there anymore and I advise you all to do the same.
