Beware, I paid this contractor $60 for absolutely nothing. After a fifteen minute service call, owner Ron Palmer had no problem taking my money while openly admitting that I was being "screwed over." A.R.M. Building Services is an independent, third party service provider for Home Shield home warranties. I had placed a claim with Home Shield for my air conditioning system which was failing to cool the house to a comfortable level. According to Home Shield, A.R.M. has 24 hours to contact me to set an appointment, their call came over 48 hours later with the next available appointment being a week out. When Ron arrived and prior to seeing the a/c unit, he asked if I have had the system cleaned this year. I had not. He added a half pound of coolant and stated that he had the system running at the "minimum specification" of 15 degrees of temperature change. He recommended that I hire another heating and a/c company to clean my unit and stated that the industry standard charge for this service in my area is $49, he then demanded his $60 trade fee for this "advise." Apparently Home Shield does not cover cleaning so technically A.R.M. Building Services was under no obligation to remedy my problem. However, my issue with A.R.M cuts to the core of whats wrong and right. The $60 "trade fee" goes straight into the providers pocket and was paid directly to A.R.M. Ron could have just as easily done the work and still get paid $11 more then he would have if this had been a direct relationship. Also, at no point during my communication with this company was it suggested that I consider a cleaning as it's not covered. Only after Ron arrived and his $60 was assured was this brought up, again prior to even seeing the unit. Bottom line, A.R.M. Building Services made an easy $60 to my detriment. Bare minimum, that's what this company gave me.

We just started using ARM Building services this year and I have to say...I'm completely impressed with the level of service at such a reasonable cost. Our family has multiple properties and they have serviced 3 just this year alone. On-time...every-time! Thanks to Ron and his team at ARM Building Services!
