They plumbed my new house. Nice guys and they come on time, etc. They charge top dollar and they even charged me to correct something they did not do as specified. (The faucet for the master tub was supposed to have a shower connection. They installed one without it. The faucet was not firmly fixed in place. They suggested I did something to it. I had not touched it. They came out one afternoon to install 6 ft of gas pipe on an outside wall and fix the bathroom tub faucet. Bill was over $600. The faucet which consumed most of the time still moves. I had asked for several cut offs. Never installed. (This could be a problem in how the general contractor specked the job to the plumbers. I discussed cut offs and other issues with the two man crew, and this issue should have been resolved during construction. There seems to be some lack of communication between crew and company owner.) One of the no freeze faucets has broken and caused me to take out drywall and insulation in the basement room. No cut off for that, only the whole house. I suppose if one wrote a very long list of specifications and then checked each item every day before finish, the job would be okay. Perhaps the oddest twist is that after posting the first version of this review 4 years after house was finished and all bills paid to contractor, company owner called to say review was inaccurate, that he was still owed over $2,000 but hadn't billed because he thought the job was still in progress.

Would NOT recommend! They overcharge and preform work they were never authorized to preform! The company I work for hired them to fix a leak under a tenants bathroom sink. They charged us $225 labor for two plumbers, claim they not only repaired the bathroom leak with a new $34 drain assembly but that they also replaced the kitchen faucet, several hoses and some other parts and charged us $430!! NO WAY! When I was finally able to reach someone by phone the woman admitted that we had only requested to have the leak under the bathroom sink repaired but stated that they "preform work for several other property managers in town who want to have their properties well maintained" insinuating that we were bad landlords for not allowing them to do whatever repairs and maintenance they wanted. The woman on the phone was loud and rude and threatened to sue me repeatedly. I told her to bring it on! We had a water pipe break during a remodel, it was after hours on a Friday night, the plumber we called, NOT RAU, had to slog through water, repair a pipe and turn the main water back on for the entire building and they only charged us $185. Rau thinks they can get away with $430 for a small drip under a bathroom sink? We paid them $146.50 which covers the $34 part and $112.50 for half the labor. Now they are adding $18.66 each month to the bill in illegal "finance charges" and they are billing me personally, not the corporation they were hired by! Idiots!

We had a water leak that needed immediate attention. I called many plumbers and Rau Plumbing sent out Jason and Joe the same day. They were friendly, courteous, answered all our questions and fixed the leak. They also did valve repair and provided much needed education on maintenance. They were fast, efficient and thorough. Thank you so much; you will be our "go to" plumbers. Suzanne from Alsea River RV Park & Marina
