We have used Buerkle Plumbing for many years, and they are now part of SSPH. We have used them for multiple services, including general plumbing needs, soil stack repair, new gas line installation, steam radiator testing/repair, steam boiler maintenance (for our 8 unit condo building), and most recently, installation of a ductless mini-split AC system. On the larger jobs, they provided estimates in a timely fashion that were reasonable and sufficiently detailed. With all of the jobs we have used them for, I have always found the staff to be incredibly professional, helpful and tidy. When they were installing our AC system a couple of weeks ago, we had to unexpectedly put our dog to sleep and the crew was so incredibly compassionate and understanding and it made an incredibly stressful day a bit easier. If you are looking for the least expensive service or a short term repair to "just get by", look somewhere else. If you are looking for quality workmanship done right and in a timely fashion, SSPH is a great choice.

Prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, polite, very helpful. We had no heat in our home for a couple days. We called Southside plumbing and heating and our heat was restored in a short period of time. The service technician, Rich, was all that I stated above. We were very happy with the service and would recommend this company to any and every one. Thank you so much for your service.

I would HIGHLY recommend this company with any plumbing or HVAC project. Me and my family have used them for our rental / investment properties and personal home. Their staff is friend and they are knowlagable, trustworthy & RELIABLE!

Extremely unprofessional service. Stay away from this company. They don't complete their service and will leave you hanging. You just receive a bill in the mail for the 'full service' later. Would give 0 stars if possible. I recently used their service to repair a bathroom faucet. The problem was a leaky hot water handle. I'm not sure what the plumber actually did in my apartment since the visit was in my absence. When I inspected the faucet, even the cold water had started leaking. I'm guessing he tried to open it up and broke it in the process. Further, I was told over the phone that the faucet had to be replaced since it is 'unrepairable'. I don't think that the plumber even bothered to open the faucet since the problem was simply a misaligned cartridge. It took me 20 mins of Google search to fix the problem myself later for the hot water faucet. But the problem with the cold water leaking still remained now! Meanwhile, I was assured that the replacement faucet parts will searched and ordered. I made 6 calls over the span of a week - every time I was told I will call back. Never received a call. Just received a bill in the mail at the end of the week. They take your CC info upfront before making the appointment - so you're out of options. I'm hoping my credit card company will help me here. Stay away from them.

I would give them 6 stars if I could. I was selling my home and the buyer found a problem with my sewer line under the street during the inspection (I never had a plumbing problem in the house). It was my responsibility to tear up the entire street in front of the house and replace the line. I had 3 other companies give me estimates for this job and Southside was by far the least expensive (over $20,000) in one case. They were kind, did a fantastic job, and fought with the county on my behalf. They made a terrible situation and financial burden easier to handle. I would recommend this company to anybody!
