May 20, 2013 Description of work: Tub & bath sink unclog Laborer: Adam Frano, owner Hours Charged: 1 @$65/hr Material Charged: 2nd drain cleaning [bath sink] $20 flat Payment: Paid check at time of service Slogan: “High quality service… Low Cost Rates!” Complaint: Upon completion of his work, Adam informed me that both the tub and sink had been unclogged. In addition to unclogging, I had asked him if he could repair a new leak that appeared at the bottom of the faucet spout. I assumed it simply needed tightening. He informed me that the sink was beyond repair and that this style of sink was made in a way that made adjustments impossible due to inaccessibility. He recommended complete replacement of the sink. That evening, I washed my face and realized it still took 45+seconds for the sink to drain. That got my attention since I had paid for it to be unclogged that afternoon. I then inspected under the sink and within 30seconds I found a screw that could be tightened with a Phillips (normal) screwdriver. Tightening this screw (30 more seconds) completely fixed the faucet leak. I called Adam and left a kind voicemail explaining the events and the need for the drain to be unclogged. I left my phone number, but did not hear back so I left another voicemail 1-week later. This second voicemail was not returned, so I emailed the address he had listed on his card. This email address was invalid, so I left a 3rd voicemail explaining I would not be contacting him further after this voicemail, but he had one more day to respond if he would prefer to finish his work rather than receive an accurate, negative review and complaint with the BBB. I waited several more days and then filed the complaint. If he responds to BBB I will update or remove this review depending on communication and action.
