Very positive experience. Another local plumber quoted twice the price and was not friendly to work with. Tony showed care from my first call. Two guys from Tom's came the next day and did the repair quick and as quoted - half the price of Ernie's. Highly recommended.

They did a great job repairing a collapsed sewer line at my old home. Price was under estimate. Would definitely recommend them.

I am really happy with Tom's Plumbing. I had a slab leak, and could not tell where it was located...there were no warm or wet spots anywhere, though the leak was at the rate of 1 gallon per minute. I first called a 5 star Google-rated company, and got a bid to fix the leak, with a separate charge to use special equipment to locate the leak. Then I called Tom's, who said they have a fixed rate for slab leaks, + parts. Tom's base rate was significantly lower than the other company, and they included finding the leak in the flat rate. The guys who came out knew their stuff. They were efficient, courteous, and did a good job. (I waited a couple of weeks to write this, to be sure the repair held.) The bill for parts was actually less than the estimate. So in short, the work was good, the price was good, and the experience was good. Thank you, Tom's!

The quality of the work seems good (time will tell). I'm only giving it 3 stars since I was charged a Service Charge + 1 Hour + $5.00 Fuel Charge. I know based on the security system that the plumber was here for less than 1 hour so I think it's a little underhanded to charge a service charge AND the first hour (I have had another plumber out who only charged the first hour and no fuel charge). And the fuel charge seems unnecessary given that gas is less than $2 / gallon and I'm just outside of Arlington by ~1 mile.

While the quality of the work was OK, I was surprised and insulted by a $5 "fuel charge." This was not disclosed upfront when I called for an estimate. No other vendor has every charged me a "fuel charge" $5 is minimal compared to my $225 invoice and feels petty, especially since we are both in Arlington and gas is under $2 per gallon. It's a shame that I will not be able to use them again because I prefer to give my business to local folks.
