My boiler stopped working and East West Plumbing came to my house and pushed a switch to start my boiler charged me $80 and when I asked what him what he did he replied "it's magic" I thought this to be very unprofessional and when I asked why my boiler kept shutting off I was told that it was backfire and that I would have to replace it.......... Forward two weeks now and I have the same problem so this time I called another company. This technician was extremely professional and told me that the only problem with my boiler was that it was over heating due to a lack of ventaltion and all I had to do was replace my bi fold doors to my boiler room now my boiler is working just fine. I highly would not recommend this company. The technician who was the owner of the company had planted a seed knowing that my boiler would shut off again and that chances would be that I would phone him again and he would just tell me to replace the boiler and set me back about $5000.

This company was listed as preferred vendor/service provider for Viessmann heating boilers. I called him and told him which type and make of boiler i have and that it is not working. he came over at agreed time and started 'troubleshooting" finding a problem with a pump which he replaced and later told me the cost of it is $170. I checked with the local plumbing supply company and I can buy it for $90 and he gets it even cheaper. After replacing the pump, (at that time i arrived home) the system did not work again so he started looking and mainly spending time on the mobile phone yapping in his native tongue with someone trying to troubleshoot it via phone and after two hours he concluded it is PCB which he will order and bring on Monday. (it was Friday evening so we are without heating over the weekend and temperatures were below zero for few days but we managed. Monday morning he calls me and tells me the PCB will arrive in the afternoon but it will be 'expensive'. When I asked how much he said $450. What can i do. I agreed. I called the local Viessmann head office to inquire into the part cost and they told me it is $290 before discount to contractors and asked why would I need it and that the symptoms my boiler is showing it should not be the PCB but something more simple and cheaper.... The guy came at agreed time Monday afternoon and replaced the 'bad PCB" and it did not work again. Luckily I was at home throughout the time and finally , with a little common sense, concluded that the guy had no clue what he was looking for nor how to fix the problem i had. After a short talk I asked him to put back my old PCB and to leave. I paid for the pump and his poor service and arranged for another contractor to come in shortly after that.. It has taken him about 3 minutes to troubleshoot and find out that there was nothing wrong with the boiler but the faulty zone valve did not send the signal to the boiler to fire up. 30 minutes and $135 later I had my heating back and a very good lesson learned.

They claimed they used extra parts and had to charge more than the quote. It turns out they used the wrong part and now our drain leaks. They said twice that they would come fix it, but never showed up. Now they don't even answer their phone.
