My water heater was leaking. Called AHS the warranty company - standard fee $75.00. The warranty company used CNJ Services and scheduled their tech for the appointment. The tech showed up took pictures and said the water heater needed to be replaced. He took the manufacturers sticker. AHS called this morning to tell me that the water heater was covered by the manufacturers warranty and that CNJ would bring the new one out, dispose the old one and charge us $425 for the modifications (hooking up three, conduit pipes). CNJ called to scheduled the appointment. I told the lady that called to just remove the old water heater and leave the new water heater and i would call a plumber to install the new water heater. She said that isn’t the way the warranty works through the contractor and AHS. So in summary: The warranty company doesn’t have to pay anything because the water heater is covered by the manufacturer and CNJ charges $425 to,hook up three pipes and dispose of the old tank. Here is a suggestion for anyone thinking about scheduling an appointment with CNJ. Take the sticker information from your water heater and call the manufacturer to see if it is under warranty. If it is, ask them how to get a replacement. Call several plumbing companies to get bids for installation and disposal of the old water heater. This is a one hour job. Let’s say it cost $50 to take the old water heater to the dump. That means $375/hour. The fact that you are in no position to negotiate and have no leverage with the company is frustrating and maddening. To say the least. CNJ has lost a customer forever

Cnj services was sent out through my home warranty for a leaking water heater. Cnj was good, but 2 stars because they recommended copper state home builders as contractors for water remediation and drywall repair and they were horrible! They came out same day and started deconstructing and dry out but after that hardly anything has been done. I had to do copper states job for them and call back and forth between them and our insurance company to get the ball rolling with invoicing and repair estimate. Rayna forgot to send the pictures and documentation they made to our adjuster and finally after calling and complaining 2 weeks later it was done. We are now over a month and a half into waiting for them to schedule a time to finish the job after calling multiple times , we decided to go through a different company. *BEWARE OF COPPER STATE* call around first before going with who your plumber recommends.

This company only gets one star because their tech, Kyle, and office manager made things a little better. At first things were great because Kyle came out initially to fix the problem. He was unable to do anything because of the home warranty company's policy. So after speaking with the home warranty company, I called the office manager to get us another tech out ASAP. I say ASAP because 1. I had NEWBORN TWINS at home and 2. we had NO RUNNING WATER. It took them another 2 days to get a tech out. When the tech finally arrived, there was a huge language barrier, but supposedly this was one of their best techs. After he was there for at least an hour, he set our smoke alarm off. Once again, I had newborn twins at home so I had to QUICKLY get them out of the house because ALL of our smoke alarms were extremely loud. Instead of apologizing, the tech was laughing about it!!! The tech left and told us the problem was fixed...well no it wasn't. So, I called the office manager to get us another tech. We had to wait another day or so. The new tech that arrived did not introduce himself, did not have a uniform on that said CNJ, and smelled like cigarettes. Real professional. He was there for about 5 minutes and claimed he fixed it. Well here we are trying to put the tub faucet back together and it's still not 100%. We only went to this company because our home warranty company referred us there. I will never use this company again nor refer them to anyone. Awful experience.

CNJ is a very professional business. We found them through our home warranty company. After trying to use another company who never showed up for the appointment. CNJ fit us in the same day we called, showed up when they said they would. All was going good until we found out we have a solar system which they cannot service. If we ever get a chance to need a plumber we will try CNJ. Tim H.
