The course and staff are great. If there is one thing they could improve it would be to mow and remove some of the longest grass on a few places to speed up play. Leave it long enough to cost strokes, but not enough to always lose the ball. Examples - right side of #17, and between 1 and 9 fairways. Edit - later in the season, very disappointed in the condition of the greens. They were aerated, sanded, but never recovered to their earlier condition. We played on bad greens for 5 weeks, should have been 2 at most.

Very nice course . Houses are set back quite far , so beginners shouldn't be worried about hitting anything . Restaurant food is great as well, hope it stays open later as the community grows.

Spectacular greens. Just east of Calgary. Nice track.

The course itself is quite nice. A couple holes have some fairway issues but the greens are usually some of the nicest in the area. The issue we had was one of service. The four of us are members elsewhere but like to golf there on Mondays because of the great deal that's offered. 18 holes of golf with a cart plus a beer and a sandwich off the menu for $55. When we arrived today we were told the special had been cancelled. Because I had booked online I didn't know. No big deal but somewhat disappointing and the fact that the green fees without the special were now $60 was even more disappointing. Bait and switch. When we got finished our round we went into the clubhouse and were discussing our disappointment with our server, a very nice young lady. She passed on our disappointment to the events co-ordinator and he immediately came out and dressed us down for our complaints. We'll never come back. And we will tell ALL our golfing friends about this. Muirfield has lost 4 steady customers. I've not only patronized the course but bought balls and shoes in the pro shop and spent a fair amount in the restaurant. I'm sure they'll survive but based on the fact that the clubhouse was almost empty, maybe they won't. All it takes is one loud mouth to ruin a club. EDIT: One of our foresome wrote the course and they very kindly resonded positively to all of our concerns. Thanks to everyone involved. We will be happy to return. Well done Muirfield! My respect and admiration gors out to tje senior staff there.
