It's a very beautiful hotel in the magical setting of Banff. The food was great, we ate there for breakfast, and the rooms were nice. On the smaller side but the view was incredible from the rooms. The staff upon entry was so friendly, I think a man named Nicholas checked us in. The spa was really nice as well. They have different temperature waterfalls and a beautiful mineral pool to soak in after the falls. There is an outdoor hot tub which has incredible views of the mountains and was amazing to be in in the winter when there was snow all around! They also have a steam room and sauna and inhalation room and private menus and womens hot tubs. They locked room and showers were nice and well maintained and had all the basic amenities I need from razors, to shaving cream, hot towels, blow dryers, sanitized combs and brushes and blow dryers. They also have light bites like fruit and cookies and fruit infused waters. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Staff are very helpful and always willing to lend a helping hand. Very knowledgeable about the facilities and locations and always willing to help you find where you are going. The hotel is a beautiful stone building with modern amenities, and lots of things to do during your stay. Don't expect a huge window from an old style building but the mountain view is fantastic. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

This was my second stay at the historic Fairmont Banff Springs and it was perfect. It is far enough away from downtown Banff that it feels secluded but close enough that it is only a short walk. Being so close to the bow falls (bonus they maintain the staircase down to bow falls in the winter) you can go for a stroll down to the water in the summer or go for a walk along the ice in the winter. The food we had at the hotel was fabulous and the service was impeccable. The rooms are older and although we were told ours was newly renovated it needed some fixes ie. The shower head didn't sit flush against the wall so someone shoved a towel into the hole. Otherwise a beautiful place to stay with gorgeous views of the mountains.

Been hanging out regularly at the Banff Springs for 40+ years. It's one of my happy places. They regularly hire the best young people in hotel management courses as staff and these kids are brilliant and affable. The food is good and definitely over-priced because they know they're the only 5-star game in town. I stayed at the hotel once many years ago and the 'standard' rooms were tight and didn't have views. My advice, stay at a local hotel and hang out at the Springs for food and spa amenities.

One of my favorite hotels. The staff is attentive and friendly. The building and grounds for perfectly with its surrounding and amp up the overall experience. The amenities add a nice touch as well. The Samurai sushi restaurant is excellent and highly recommended.
