Came down from Santa Fe without a reservation. Very friendly staff were more than happy to work us in. It was a Monday and not terribly busy, but their great attitude was appreciated. Everyone went out of their way to make the round enjoyable. The course was in very good condition for being the middle of April after a very dry winter. Staff was honest and upfront that there were a few "winter burn" areas, but we were impressed with the condition and maintenance. Greens had been aerated 10 days earlier, so a little bumpy, but to be expected. Good maintenance cause some tough weeks on the course, but staff was very upfront on the conditions. They discounted the round because the new golf carts were being delivered/assembled that day. We had to use an old one (not a problem) but the GPS units had been taken off. It's a challenging course, really challenging your first time without a gps to help with shot selection. Course was marked with yardage on most of the sprinkler heads. One improvement I would recommend would be changing out the flag-sticks to be rangefinder friendly. They didn't have the prism reflectors on them, so we weren't even able to use our range finders for yardage. Overall great experience and will definitely return when back in the area. Look forward to a future round with the gps installed for a better overview of a beautiful, challenging course.

My friend and I stopped by on the way to Albuquerque to see if we could play here. The starter said he was wide open and could get us out right away we said great what is the price. He asked if we were local and we were not, he had to call someone from the office to give us a price. We were in the pro shop for almost 30 minutes and no one had gone out to play. Finally the guy came out and said it would be $119 to play. Yes the course is nice looking but we were not $119 a round players. We asked if he could give us a better rate. Maybe the local rate we said we could do $80 a player. Nope he stuck to the $119. We walked out the door. I understand it is their right to charge what they want but come on. That has to be the worst management to let $160 walk out the door when you have no one playing your course. I would have understood it completely if they were booked and had people playing but the parking lot was empty.
