Absolute joke of an establishment. Ignorant staff that I’ve heard make racially unacceptable comments on numerous occasions, ridiculous prices for an average course, and you might as well pack a lunch rather eat the slop served here. Ruined my weekend golfing here, disgusted. Wish I could rate 0/5 stars.

We have golfed Water Valley many times but doubt we would again. It is a great course and beautiful setting but..... During our last round there, the Marshall told the four of us to pick up the pace. We were walking and keeping a good pace with no one chasing us and no one in front of us. I asked the Marshall how much time we had per hole and he said 12-13 minutes. Ok, since we were keeping pace and actually finished the front nine in less than two hours, we were a bit puzzled. He drove off saying.....I need you to pick up the pace. When we got to the hole number 10, we went and got a cart. The Marshall was in the clubhouse at the time so I asked him about our not keeping pace situation. I told him we finished the round in less than two hours. He said it's because it's "relative". ????? Relative to "what" I'm thinking? Well, there was no one on the next hole so I guess you have to make sure you are right behind the next group on wharever hole regardless if you are keeping pace. The course was not busy and we did finish the round in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Really, we will all a bit taken off our game. We drove an hour to golf there, paid good money to golf and I just don't get the attitude there. I've read many bad reviews about this course, and I was actually thinking about joining there. Forget it! Love the course but the policing of the ridiculous rules are just plain stupid. Golf is about golfing ! .....and I will always respect the pace of play at any course but not at Water Valley. Thanks for the not so great experience.

Great course layout. Tough greens. Many hidden approaches. Excellently manicured fairways and greens.

The customer service at this place is terrible. They made me pay for a full cart because we only had 3 in our group. First course I've been to that does that. The lady who runs the pro shop called one of the workers stupid, when they ran out of carts. I would not golf here again even it were free. They need to realize that this course is in the middle of nowhere, so when non memebers drive an hour to get there, you should treat them like you appreciate their business, not like you're doing them a favour by letting us pay to play your very average course. Take your $1200 bullshhh memebership and shove it water valley. Ever wonder why you have such horrible reviews???? 2.4/5 stars. Generous in mY opinion

Beautiful course BUT the staff was super hard to deal with. We had a golfer who injured herself the day before and wasn't able to golf but they still charged her FULL GREEN FEES otherwise she would have had to sit at the club house . Any other golf course I've gone to they have waivers etc . Even a twenty dollar fee would have made sense but the full Fees !? And on top of it you guys weren't busy or anything . The staff was fairly rude about it too ! It's really too bad . We won't be back just because of the experience with the staff and this silly rule
